Yes. I got used to it as well. Only that I need to time my clutch release a little early at the signals. Would have been happier without it though.
Update: 10,000km service;
Got the car in at Millenium Toyota (Thane) for 10k kms service, got an extremely good service experience & also some of them recognised this car as it was a part of 3 successful video reviews on my YouTube channel :)
Once the job card was opened the boys got working/inspecting;
Battery too was inspected;
Tyres rotated (4 tyre rotation)
Brakes were cleaned & high temp. grease applied.
1st time saw the caliper up close, it indeed looks amazing IMO. Toyota should have dressed it up with their name or a TRD logo, haha ... a missed opportunity.
Propeller shaft greasing;
Interesting to see Toyota use the same Engine oil for both petrol or diesel;
Air Filter was cleaned.
Gulped in 7.5L
^ Oil Filter was also replaced.
Brake fluid topped up;
Coolant top up;
Much needed underbody wash;
At this point exactly 7 people were working on the car & getting it ready;
Total Bill of
INR 2891/- :thumbs up
Total Duration: 1.5 hrz
Being physically present to witness the service being carried out was extremely satisfying to the eyes & i had a great time indeed.

Well, as this was only the 3rd service the labour charges were free.
One of the best clicks of my New Fortuner;

Wonderful update!
My Fortuner just breached the 4K mark last weekend. Taking it to Bangalore next weekend.
Lanson Pallikaranai does not allow me to either witness the service done or take pictures. I just wish I'm able to check out the work being carried out in person.

Nice :thumbs up
I don't allow Lanson to carry out the underbody water wash to my Fortuner. They use super-hard-water, which leave extremely bad water marks all over the car.
I'm not very happy with the service levels either. I will write an email to Toyota soon.
Happy Driving Karan!!!

Can you share cost breakup? 7,5 Ltr engine oil alone should be a large amount & they must have charged for the fluid top as well. Even though labor was free, prices of other consumables look too low:eek

Unbelievable charges with zero charges for Brake oil top up :) I don't think any other manufacturer can come close.

hi Karan, i always wonder, how do you get access to service area? Most of the time, I am told that the customer is not allowed in workshop because of safety reasons. Is it just a goodwill or a celebrity priviledges?:)

Hey, im no celebrity lol: Also I dont have direct access, but when i request them to allow me to take pictures so i could log on to my thread hence they allow me for short intervals. Also this particular workshop has been friendly since i have been coming here for around 7 years (Old Fortuner is serviced at this same workshop) :thumbs up
Earlier Today;

While driving back to Mumbai from Pune got a very respectable FE of 15.8 km/l;
This was with mixed driving & not trying too hard to put up a good FE show to be honest, have a feeling 18 km/l is achievable :p
