GS
From outside when the engine is started noise of Getz is more than the Swift but the Hyundai ppl have done a great job in cancelling most of the noise inside the cabin..Very silent inside with a rattle free ride..
Can't comment on the neck aches with just a 30km TD but in the Getz D the rear passengers were feeling the strong torque sitting behind....
I have driven the Swift D too and i feel the torque of Swift starts very strongly at 2000rpm whereas in the Getz D the torque increases strongly too but in a linear manner..

So your are expecting a 110 BHP, spacious and heavy Hatch to give you atleast 18 kmpl to justify buying it ???

Hmmmmmm

Its a mixed bag.
Driver's car for its great engine with decent braking and steering response unlike the speed boat Verna.
Passenger's car for its fantastic ride quality, space and seats.

Yes u are partly right and it depends upon the suspension setup too.
Getz D with lower profile 14" tyres has amazing ride quality.

There's more to a car than just FE.

Nice review KP. Need to TD this beast. Wonder when Hyundai will wake up and offer ABS as an option. They did something similar with the Verna... took a while to introduce ABS.
On road price close to 6.5. Followed by the must-do upgrades - fatter rubber, ICE, and general accessories. We're talking of close to 7 lacs. Question is, is it worth it?

yes, a diesel should also do justice to mileage, like its competitor swift for instance, well agreed its not as spacious and the build is also not comparable with the getz, still who would want to buy a diesel which gives out similar kind of fuel efficiency as its petrol version.

I drove the GVS model which is 6.23 lacs on road in Delhi.
Is it worth it? Practically speaking NO. But once u drive that car then the temptation to go for it is just too much..

Close enough. 6.5 with optional ABS
And why on earth would they introduce just one diesel variant??

I have one basic question here. Everyone talks big about the comfort of Getz for passengers as well as Driver. Is it that the other cars in this segment are not great compared to Getz? Which are the other cars compared with Getz for the comfort to arrive at this conclusion?
And even I heard from the dealer that Getz is more comfortable than an Accent. Hard to believe it but since I didn't have a chance to ride an Accent(driver or passenger), I have to believe them.
Please enlighten me with your answers. Thanks.

PS: I am a Getz owner myself.

There is more room inside getz as comapred to accent and other small cars.
all it lacks is a boot.
Rear seat legroom, front seat room, egronomics etc., are excellent

With the power of CRDI it is an excellent choice. If CRDI was available I would have gone for it.

I believe, quality comes at a premium.

i think there are two getz crdi owners in this forum, anju and dins. a report is long overdue from them. we should know what they think, now that they have bought it at a premium.
