anju - can you comment on the handling and braking of this car at high speeds especially when not on a straight - do you feel the need for abs or all 4 disc brakes and does the suspension work well at high speed turns.

I was checking the aussie getz crdi and it comes standard with all 4 disc brakes + abs as well as independent suspension for front n rear

Don't get desperate. The wait will be worth it.

While I am sorry to hear about Undead's situation, I have one more question to you folks.

I was driving my Kencha the other days, the moment I reached 140KMPH, the steering started vibrating a bit, I pressed the paddle to reach 160 but still its kept vibrating. I came back to below 120, then it stopped. I do not know where the problem was, need to check with Showroom. But before that, wanted to ask friends here ?

Anybody faced this isse ? Any idea of potential cause ? any home remedy ?

cheers
Anju

Steering vibration is only due to the need for wheel balancing, for alloys it is typically advised to get it done atleast every 5000 km on the odo, get your balancing done and you can get rid of the vibrations.

Its a balancing issue. Get the balancing done again from a good tire shop. Mostly the service centers don't have specialist for balancing and allignment.

BTW how much did u pay for the 2nd service? and how many kms has the Kencha done?

2nd serive bill came around 4 K, I don't remember though, as its been while I did that.

Kencha has done 9K+ kms.
steering vibration is the only issue I faced so far, otherwise, Kencha is doing super good. I am astonished to the highway mileage. its in the range of 20 all the time.

cheers

I think I went for Underbody coat,vacuum cleaning,polishing. Don't recall why I paid 4K +.

I am sorry to hear about your mishap but appreciate your attitude in overcoming the challenge. Hope things get better for your little monster soon, without hurting too much to your purse.

Keep the spirit high dear.

cheers

I am back after a loong pause......

3rd and final service update:

Total Bill 4K.
Oil/Fuel/Air filter - replaced.
Body polish
Wheel/alloy Balancing- I have to check if steering wheel vibration re occurs at 140KMPH.

I have removed the GVS badge at the rear and hopefully get the vgt badge shortly which I plan to attach there.

In one year, I am very happy and satisfied with Kencha.

The only problem I encountered so far was "steering wheel vibration" after 140KMPH after 2nd service.

Some other complaints were,
1.Very bad headlight.
2.Fog on front windshield.

Rest everything is just great !!!

Kencha rocks!!!!!!!!!!

cheers
