You guys are too critical.
Congrats on your new car sajands, but I feel your attitude has been wrong all the while.
Advaith Hyundai promised you a discount. they were wrong. No doubt abt that. We also bought a Getz recently from them and our past 2 hyundai santros have been bought from Advaith. My dad knows the partner in Advaith Hyundai well and we still didnt get to club the corporate AND loyalty discounts.
It is policy. They simply cannot club both the discounts. Initially, they promised you to club it. That was wrong, but when they apologised, I dont think you were justified in making such a big hue and cry abt it.
You are spending 9 lakhs on a very good car. Going through so much tension and bad blood for 5000 Rupees is very silly.
The most important part which you completely ignored (either by mistake or consciously) is that the dealer realised his mistake and apologised and didnt act arrogant.
That itself shows the quality of the dealership and the people it employ.
Regarding the "knowledge" of the salesman regarding ABS, handling, airbags, I cant say anything more. He was wrong. You were right. But then each and every dealer is like that. You cant expect them to have the encyclopedic knowledge we have.
Sometimes customers get lucky and get to interact with a very knowledgeable salesman. but most of the time, the people are like this. You cant help it. Look at any industry. Why only auto industry ? Hardly 10-20% of the people are actually knowledgeable.
And secondly, I am disappointed in the members who have posted in this thread. I feel sad sometimes that people on t-bhp can be so judgemental. One bad experience versus countless good experiences and you are ready to blacklist a dealer ? Who else will you go to in Bangalore for Hyundai then ? Trident have a far worse reputation than Advaith.
The simple fact that the manager (Ajit or Ajay, I forget) called you up so many times and apologised itself is proof that the dealership is ready to own up and accept it's responsibility and not penalise the customer.
The only mistake they made was to tell you you are getting a 22,000 Rs discount when in effect you were eligible only for a 17,500/- discount.
Why cant you people TRY to think of the other side ? how many times have you yourself made a mistake at work ? Countless !! Especially if you were a newbie.
Try to have some compassion and understanding for the other person. He isnt screwing up his job on purpose. He is also trying his level best. No one screws up their job on purpose.
About the RTO mix-up, I dont think there was any reason for you to get so worked up abt it. You should have just left the Advaith guys handle it. If they registered the car at Electronic City RTO, just refuse to accept the car and ask them to correct their mistake. They will do it.
It really seems from this thread that you were
1). Very impatient
or
2). Just looking to criticise Advaith Hyundai
And it pains me too see so many members of this wonderful forum support him blindly without any regard for the other side.
And to calm your fears, Advaith Hyundai are very professional and most likely, the guys who were involved in the sale will have no relation with the service centre guys. They wont even come to know when you give your car for service. They have much more important work than to target one out of the hundred odd customers they have.
And just to inform you, one of the partners at Advaith ?Hyundai is already aware of T-bhp. I had forwarded the link personally but in relation to another issue. Maybe Hyundai company officials are learning abt T-bhp for the first time, but definitely not Advaith Hyundai guys. |
