With all the features that are missing from the model and these pricey accessories, this ANHC is turning out to be quite a rip off.

Having seen a few on the road. It does not have the premium look like the previous city's had - ie Type Z and the NHC. Back looks rather ordinary IMHO

prices seem pretty high. can anyone help with similar comparisons for SX4 and Fiesta
I ordered an additional alloy for the Fiesta 1.6S spare wheel, it's the original Ford OEM 15" alloy given with the Sport. Price is approximately Rs. 5500/-.

Missed posting earlier.

Guys I'm wondering here, are the pricings given in the earlier posts the Honda authorised pricing ? Or are the dealers setting their own inflated prices to make a fast buck on the new car hype ?

Maybe a quick comparison across dealers in different cities might help.

Ah! Finally the story of the hallowed H is exposed.
And people used to blame other manufacturers for their spares costing a bomb.

Seriously, Maruti needs to be lauded for providing spares reasonably priced.

Umm yes, quite. Spares != optional accessories.

I'm fairly certain you'll pay quite a bit more for an AC compressor for... say, a Fabia than you would for a Honda anything. Going the same analogy route, a Fabia hubcap costs nearly as much as a cheap Aura alloy wheel. How's that for accessory pricing?

New Honda city

hi everybody...

I see a lot of negative messages here for the New Honda city.. I have just become the owner of a new honda city a week back...And Let me tell you I dont agree with the negativity at all..

I have bought the red color manual version.. Every moment of driving it has been a pleasure.. the new engine is amazing, it totally silent, u will feel as if it is off..

And now the best part.. MILEAGE.. The first full to full mileage calculation has given me 14.7 ... And mind you this is before the first service.. Lets see how much it improves after first service..

Just go for this if anyone is wanting to buy a car in this segment...

Pls let me know if you people want a detailed review...

Congrats Nishant on your new purchase.
The ANHC is quite a capable car with a great engine.
What we are discussing here is that the pricing and the features available at that price don't do justice.
No one said that the car is not good, however its overpriced for the features it offers.
Enjoy your ride and let the ownership review come in soon.

I dont think it is overpriced.. If you see the earlier VTEC version was costing about 10 Lac, and this one is 8.7 lac on road ex-delhi.. Only major difference is the leather upholstery, wooden panels and alloy wheels.. But in the new city u are getting i-vtec engine, airbags, great steering with music controls, usb music system etc.... So I dont think its really overpriced ya..

14.7 !! It's unbelievably high, and you are one lucky owner. Do you drive heavily on highways or have city commute as well? What's your driving style & how often do you use AC? What fuel do you normally use - premium or regular?

Yes; do post your ownership review. I testdrove the vehicle but only the automatic version. Eager to know the feedback on city commute from the owner of a manual drive.
