@ PlatzdaTurbo - Go for any color except white. I agree it may look classy, but there are far too many whites on the road. I think 7 cars out of 10 are white.

Hence i would like reviews and opinions from all of you , especially amogh. If the verdict dosnt clear my mind , i might settle for bosa nova white as i can contact the showroom and change my colour choice. Earlier the better. O btw, iv seen the white punto in skin and trust me , it looks absolutely scintillating in that colour ! So, should i keep it blue or change to white ? waiting for your posts eagerly ppl
Check this post to see a pic of how the blue looks in real : http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/test-d...tion-pack.html

Punto Air Filter

This is the information I received from a source in Fiat

"In the Punto, all you have to make sure is that the air filter stays clean and regularly checked. Since the service interval is 15,000 kms it is better to have periodic checks. The compression ratio in the Punto engine is 22 and therefore the air filter periodic check is recommended."

I am not a techie person but still thought of mentioning this. The experts can comment.

Thanks a ton amogh. I was a bit skeptical about buying the blue after seeing it on the website. Now my perceptions completely changed. Thanks again and a special thank you to sidindia. If it wernt for you, i might have ended up buying the wrong colour & manish, what you said is true. Many vehicles are white including the private taxis.

The only reason i kept white as an option is as it is the safest bet and unlike some of the darker colours. White dosnt fade as quickly and hence doesnt look old. Thanks anyways. I dont think anythings gona stop me from buying the ELECTRICCC BLUE

Amogh,
See if you can save some money on Insurance, dealers keep a hefty margins for them when it comes for insurance
For my Linea at 7 L ex showroom , dealer gave me a quote of 22k for Reliance insurance at 90% IDV whereas i got it through them after threatening them again and again that i will get it done outside and finally was done for 15255 still 1k more over official quote from reliance insure helpline.

Do get a quote from bajaj allianz etc and show your salesman that quote

Just came back from Concorde. Booked the diesel top model ( Emotion Pack). Color is Electric Blue. Dealer told this is the first booking for the blue color in Bangalore. Car is yet to be dispatched from factory.

Here is the break up of the Cost.

Ex Showroom Price : 614331.00

Road Tax : 87850

Insurance : 15813.00

Handling charges: 4500

Extended Warranty : 5000

Accessories : 10000 ( Sunfilim, Reverse Sensor etc ...)

Total : 737494.00

Since the car is booked through company leased scheme, they wanted an advance of rs 10000 which will be returned at the time of delivery of the vehicle. Expected delivery in 10 days.

Is the road tax so high because this car is under the company leased scheme or is it Bangalore??

It almost feels like you to pay an indirect bribe to the Ppl who rule this state for driving 4 wheelers.

Is there any other city that beats Bangalore, we need to salute that state also.

what a dampener and let down

Thanked: Once

Many congrats Amogh.....I wished to be an early bird like you, as most of the vehicles I have owned are from the first lot.(I also would be buying it from B.U.Bhandari)

Right from the Kinetic Honda (of the 1st 20 bikes-fully imported), to the Swift (ZXi) - Day 1 series. Also my Palio S-10 was bought when launched & I happen to be the very 1st customer of the Kawasaki Eliminator (a priced possession),the keys of which were handed to me by Mr. Rahul Bajaj.

....but sadly, I'll have to wait a few more months for the GP. I plan to go for a Red 1.3 Emotion Pack & hope to hear from you abt. your experiences.

Cheers!
