Since I have not recieved the user manual yet, does anyone have any idea what the red notches on the speedometer at 30 kmph and 50 kmph indicate?

Brilliant! I fell in love with the i20's fresh looks from day one! Oh how I wish Hyundai had atleast an optional 110 BHP CRDI engine from the Getz!

Sticking to a speed limit for 3000kms is not a good way to run the car in. Now that you can see the rpms, use that as a guide and stay in the sweet spot of that range, limiting the max rpms to well below the redline. It is probably even more important that you do not lug the engine - have it labour to pull the car at low rpms. That is what causes more damage to a new engine most of the time. If you run it using the rpm as a guide, road speed is irrelevant, as it should be for running in the engine.
And change out the oil/filter at 1000kms, even if Hyundai does not ask that of you.
Have fun!

Congrats Abhi. That is clearly the best choice currently. Btw, I think the 5 star safety sticker on the rear window looks too big. Cant we get it removed? I would have liked the rear window clear of any stickers. Also it looks like far too many badges for the CRDi version on the boot lid. May be you can get them debadged and just keep the centre logo intact.

Excellent choice Abhi. I wish I had waited a bit more before I decided to go for my 1.2 Asta. Anyway I dont drive enough to justify switching to a diesel as of now.

Regarding the comment on rear window sticker, I took think its too big, especially considering that the claim of "5 star safety" does not apply to our Asta model, which does not come with side curtain airbags. I hope you have removed the plastics from the seat by now.

Regarding tire change, was it really useful? Acceleres are not bad by any means. They also look more aggressive than Michelins. I upgraded my wheels to 15" and then put Mich Primacy LC. This made a big difference to ride quality and tire noise.

Congrats AbhiJ.
To make this car look even more stunning, i would suggest you change the alloys and upsize the tyres.

Congratulations are in order !! A first on T-Bhp ? The car seems to be adequately loaded & looks great. Have fun.

Tyres upsize anytime soon ?

I do not agree on your regimental run-in though. I'd say once in a while you should let her loose even if only for a few metres or minute or whatever you are comfortable with. Just IMHO..

Cheers
