Lemme see if a drive down to Chandigarh is possible for me, probably i'll have to spend a day (maybe overnight) to get the stuff done !
No one asked me anything for installation, but I have read on other forums that dealers down south are charging Rs. 500-1000 for installation.

Scuff Plates (2 - Front only) - Rs. 250 (each)

Should arrive in 10-15 days.

Good upgrades. I quite like both of these, but a quick word of caution with the scuff plates. Keep an eye out after the scuff plates are fitted, sometimes there's a gap between the scuff plate and the door sill where grime and water can seep in. Over time, it can lead to scratches that start rusting.

However, it's nothing to be alarmed about, just something to check once in a while.

Hope everything else is fine with the car.

Thanks for your word of caution.
I will keep an eye.

Rest everything is fine with car except one problem.
I have posted it in the other thread as well, but did not receive any response.

Here is my problem:

A question for Punto owners:

I hear a distinct hollow knock sound from the rear right sometimes while reversing or going over a bump or while taking a turn at slow speed.

Its a single knock and is seldom there.

First the SA at service center said its from the rear seat and they put a black electric tape over the clamps where it locks to secure it tightly. But that sound was still there.

Then they went ahead and changed the rear right shocker, but the sound is still there.

They have checked all the suspension bolts. I have checked that there are no loose objects and the spare tyre is secured tightly.

Has anyone faced similar issues, if yes, what is the solution?

Sumit,

I hope you've seen the scuff plates in person, I had a chance to check'em out during my visit, wasn't too impressed with them. They were a bit scratched and seemed vulnerable, overall they didnt feel premium. But then again for 250 bucks they are the cheapest from the FIAT accessory shop.

I have not seen them. They were not in stock, that's why I placed the order.

As you said, its not too expensive, no harm in trying them, even if they are good for just 6 months.

What about stickering done on earlier fiat logo at rear and make it look like abarth logo?

That could work.
But, luckily, the replacement emblem arrived yesterday.
I will install it this week.

Which ABARTH Graphics are you talking about? (I am not a huge fan of vinyls though).

I have seen those on the FIAT website.

I didnt like them too much. With those vinyls it would look like a TD car (my personal opinion).

Hello Sumit,

Just went through the entire thread. Made up for a very nice read. A proper report in every sense. Well done!!

I've heard Punto's stock ICE, seems decent. How would you rate the current ones over the stock, say out of 5?

If my current setup is 5, then stock would be -18.

Punto's stock ICE is pretty basic.
