I am sorry but I think you paid too much for that! All you need is a polish with a decent "cutting" action.

Cheers,

Dont get bogged down by these and am sure that there are no major discounts on 2011 cars. I enquired it personally here in Chennai as well.
Yeah,I thought of getting 2010 model because Concorde offered me for almost 50K discount untill last day of delivery and day before delivery told me about calculation mistake.Other wise i might have gone for 2011 model only.
I did'nt saved much and end up buying old model.Still I am fuming for this.
This was told to me 12 before delivery.

Hi Satya, just to check - does the T-Jet have Anti-pinch protection in all windows?

Re: The Renaissance of my JET-White FIAT Linea T-Jet+ (2200 kms Update & Photos on Pa

A quick highway sprint..

Trip: Chennai - Yelagiri
Total Distance: ~250km from Chennai

Statistics:

Onward Hourney - Chennai to Yelagiri
Type of Driving - Extremely Spirited (Pushed it to limits and she did MAX OUT at a point in 5th)
Traffic: Very Light to Light
Avg Fuel Eff : 7.8km/lt (for the entire onward journey including Ghats)

GTO - Again your statements are true. Its pure fun to drive this machine. Damn the mileage!

Return journey: Yelagiri to Chennai
Type of Driving: Sedate (80-100km/lt)
Avg Speed: 61km/hr
Traffic: Light
Avg Fuel Efficiency: 18.2km/lt (for the entire return journey including Ghats)

Issue faced: Yes.. A creeking sound from the rear right side. Yet to find out what it is.

Detailed report along with some pics will follow soon (may be tomorrow).

VB SAN..I dont think there is anti-pinch in Power Windows in T-Jet.

Here are some pics of the trip.. We were a bunch of FIAT owners who did this trip and hence I am posting the pics of all of them (which I took from my OVRM.. since I was the only one driving).. It was real fun and enjoyable to see many FIATS at a time.

First to start with my Mileage PICS (a good 18.2km/lt for 250kms)..

Hey SP,
40 KMPH on the BLR-MSR road is pretty high..., on other cars it would have been 25-30 KMPH. What with all those speed breakers every few kilometers.

Re: The Renaissance of my JET-White FIAT Linea T-Jet+ (2200 kms Update & Photos on Pa

Hello Folks..

Came back from my business trip and wanted to update the thread. I got something special for my baby. Philips strap on Dual DVD monitors (All region free and all region electrically compatible). I got this specifically for my daughter who loves watching cartoons and this will make her busy during long drives. The reason why I purchased strap on monitors because the same can be used as a Digital Photo frame in house though it is not USB and Aux compatible. But I can burn a DVD with tons of PICS and start running them as a slideshow on one of the DVD monitors.

Also, the weather conditions in Chennai esp. in summer may not be really suitable for permanently fixed headrest monitors (my car will be parked in hot sun daily!!). Another major advantage will be to use this in any car with a Cigar lighter.. All in all, I am happy with it. I will be going on long drives in Apr and will update its performance for everyones benefit.

Make-Philips
Model-9012
Cost-198USD (since its region free)

Likes-Great portability
Great clarity
Neat and simple
Firmly gets placed when strapped (I had my own doubts before)
Loud in built speakers

Dislikes-
DVD loading area - Little clumsy to load the DVDs
One of the monitors in less bright than the other (even in full brighness-not a deal breaker though)
Lack of USB and Aux (may be a deal breaker for some but not for me since i do have a large collection of DVDs..esp cartoon ones for my daughter)

My verdict:
It just simply fulfills its purpose.

Now some pics.. also I have loaded 2 You Tube videos of the same.

Hi Satya, welcome back.
Nice add-on. I am sure the kids will definetely enjoy it.

My kid refuses to sit in the back seat. She prefers sitting in the front seat. Such an add-on will definitely keep the kids at the back seat.

Hey you back! Gooood!

Man those are really good add-ons. It almost looks like DC Lounge kind of car now. I am sure the kids will be stuck to the back seat now and you can enjoy the TJET with all focus.

Thanks all.. Yes, this will get my daughter to sit at the back which will be more safe for her. She simply refuses to sit at the back otherwise..

To be honest, at 9000 odd rupees.. this very well solves the purpose when compared to Mega audio and other brands' strap on dual DVD monitors which cost > Rs.30k here..
