Got a new vento TSI comfortline with steel rims and was very keen on upgrading to MOMO alloys, but having seen so many Cars with MOMO alloys I feel they have become too common these days.

Luckily I managed to get a set of OEM Polo GT alloys for the Vento, which I prefer to the OEM Vento alloys.

These were the alloys that were there on my steeds. My 2006 Indigo LX (Now Sold) had prestige design alloys with chrome finish. Manza Aura ABS (Now Sold) had Plati alloys. The XUV that's there with me now is sporting the Speed alloys which are a genuine Mahindra accessory. Pic's of Indigo LX and Manza Aura ABS were taken on the day they left my garage.

Well, the total amount charged was Rs:3500. Works done included the painting plus installing roots horn/wiring/custom clamps, headlight wiring due to 130/100 lamp upgrade.

Just sharing the alloy on my Jaguar. 100% stock I will add. Still, I think these rims really suit the car. Never felt the need to change them for anything else. Fitted with Michelin Sports, a fantastic tyre!

When looking at wheel I look for a few things. Obviously, visuals. I like the spoke type of wheels, not to many, not to few, not to thin, not to thick spokes. Also, I look for wheels that have smooth edges all around. Anything with hard edges will accumulate more dirt and will be more difficult to clean.

Yes Srinath, I am aware of the recall that has been done earlier. Before getting them installed, have taken confirmation from them on the same. There was a problem with a specific batch of alloys and not with the design as such and I was clearly told that the alloys there were installed on my steed was from a newer lot. Thanks for your concern anyways.

Decided to change the stock alloy wheels a.k.a the wheels caps of my Baleno zeta. Replaced with Plati py-198, one of the few designs with 7.5" width. They protrude on sides just a tiny bit so planning to get some kind of fender flares. The width of wheels changed stance of car completely. It looks unmistakably larger than other hatchbacks in market. Wish the car was a bit lower.
