Re: Puncture frauds - How do they work? A TPMS helps detect punctures early. For best results, use nitrogen, and set pressure using an accurate guage exactly the same to the 1/10th psi in left and right tyres. Then a difference of .3psi, increasing over time, will indicate a puncture early.
