Got both the alignment and balancing checked at Nandi Toyota on Kanakpura road. They did some minor correction, but said it has got to do with the thread pattern. I am feeling better now or it might be getting used to the new set of shoes

Toyota recommends 30 PSI, you are running at 33 and planning to increase to 35 ! Any particular reason for increasing the pressure ?

I do understand that stearing becomes lighter but ride also becomes a bit more bouncier (IMHO).

Would love to know the reasons for sure.

Re: My Fortuner Tyre Upgrade: Continental Cross Contact A/T

I' am enquiring about the tyres for a tyre change on my T-Fort and I have been told that the Michelin Latitude Cross has been discontinued and the replacement is Michelin LTX Force.

Has anyone tried this yet ? Any reviews for this on a Fortuner ?

Toyota recommends 30 to 35 PS and I used to maintain 30 PS with my stock tyres. I am running on 33 PS after moving to Michelin, reason being FE. It has dropped by almost 1 KM, hence considering increasing to 35 now

And the ride quality is no different between 30 PSI and 33 PSI ?

Michelin offers a much smother ride compared to the old Dunlops. Even with 33 PS, it is less bouncy than stock at 30 ps

A question to the Guru's of Off roading

Does the older version of Fortuner 4x4 Auto (2015 model) come with Rear Differential Lock? What about MT version? Did it come with Rear Differential Lock?

Re: My Fortuner Tyre Upgrade: Continental Cross Contact A/T

Isn't Pirelli Scorpion also a good option?

A neighbour of mine has a Fortuner with these wicked looking Pirelli Scorpion Tyres on it and he really beats his vehicle about every day.

That Fortuner is really Brute Tough!

Thanks for the quick clarification. I somehow knew you would be among the first to clarify and hence posted on your specific thread

Cheers

Hi Karan,

Following your footsteps or shall I say tread, I am changing my tyres to Continue Cross Contact AT. Gave up pursuing the BF Goodrich KO2's as they were working out quite expensive. Could afford 2 sets of Conti's and still be left with change

While on the subject, I am planning to change my wipers too before the monsoon. Any suggestions?

How are the Bosch Aerotwins?

I do considerable highway runs and the problem most of us face is about the muck that keeps being deposited in the windshield, specially while overtaking trucks

I am looking for wiper blades that really work well under these situations, particularly at night.

Any suggestions will be most helpful

Cheers

Great pick, the continentals would never disappoint

Regarding wiper blades i changed them from Toyota service itself & was aprox <500 INR ( don't remember the brand tho, probably Bosch or Syndicate )

I purchased Bosch online twice last year, one with frame and one without and both were not good.

Thanks Karan. Your ownership thread was greatly of use in making this decision.

I also take your point about using stock wiper blades. Plan to have them changed soon from the dealers
