Can someone let me know the best price for Michelin XM1+ for 195/60/R14? I am getting the best quote in Hyderabad for Rs.4325/Tyre. What's the price in other cities?

Also, is the above the correct upsize for an Accent Viva CRDi? Look forward to some inputs

The tyre is 4500 here in Bangalore.

What is the stock size on the Viva CRDi? 175/70-13 or 175/65-14?

Stock viva CRDi rides on 175/70-13. The common upsize is 185/60-14.
@mobike, 195/60/R14 seems the wrong size. 195/55-14 might be better(if there's such a size!)

There is no 195/55-14. 195/60-14 can still fit I think. It might be a little bigger than usual, but I think it will fit without any major problems.

I'm running the NHC(Stock is 175/65-14) 195/60-14s. No problems whatsoever.

Thanks, i am getting the same quote from most dealers. However, Rs.4325 was the best amongst the lot. Plus, no charges for using your CC and icing on the cake is he is ready to take back the stock tyres and 13" alloys too.

55 profile will make sure that i am riding on bumpy roads at all times. So, i guess will stick to 60

Thanks for the confirmation, i know 195 is much wider but i am hoping it increases the handling to a large extent.

Hope the downsizing of your profile from 65 to 60 haven't given you much of sleepless nights?

I am planning to change the footwear of my Dzire ZDi from stock JK 185/70/14 to Michelin 185/70/14 Energy XM+1. My car has done 7500 km in 3.5 months. I have done one wheel rotation at 5000 as recommended. How much should I expect for my used tyres as I would give them in exchange?

I am planning to go to a Michelin Dealer - Acme Tyres, SV Road, Goregaon (W), Mumbai.

Early response will appreciated as I am planning to get the tyres changed today itself.

Why?
195/60-14 will have better ride quality than 175/65-14.

I suggest you rather go for 195/70-14's. They will fir nicely on your 5.5" alloys.

Regarding the 185's they cost around 37-3800 and expect around 500/t for your used set.

Let us know your decision and expenses !

Thanks for the response Don!

How is a 195 better than 185? I mean how does it improve the ride quality? And what is the compromise on FE?

I post on my ownership review thread. Shall definitely post about the change of footwear and the price etc.

I am glad to hear that. I have decided on 195/60/R14 and tyre brand decided is Michelin Energy XM1+ which i am getting for Rs.4325/Tyre.

How much can i expect for my used tyres ( Done 35K till today) and is still in tip top shape?

How much can i expect for my prestige alloys ( 13") which i bought for 14.7K for a set of 4 about two years ago?

When you go for a wider tyre, shouldn't the J of alloys be minimum 6"?

Btw, 185 profile 14 inchers are available in Hyderabad for Rs.3650.

Mobike, please let me know if 185 is the right size or 195 it is.
Also what impact does it have on handling and FE.

.
Good tire choice. Do not forget to rotate them every 5k kms.

1. Better not to expect anything.
2. Around 6k. Right now a set of 14" HR comes for 12k.
