| ![]() Actually the speedo error will be leser with 165/65/13. Perhaps ride would be stiffer? or do the tires scrape in the wheel well? |

BHPian ![]() | ![]() Went to Reliance Auto zone, yesterday, they have very good collection of Alloys and at a good price. Went to Carnation in morning and they were asking 4000/- per alloy for the same model of Neo where Reliance price was 2918/- ![]() |

BHPian ![]() | ![]() True, but earlier, the Zen came with 13" wheels and 155/70R13 tyres in 4 X 114.3 PCD. It was changed in 2003 to 145/80R12 tyres on 12 inch rims, 4 X 100 PCD (AFAIK). Overall tyre dia remains the same. Since the wells are designed for 13" 70 profile tyres, Zen should accept 14" rims on lower profile tyres without rubbing. 165/65R14 or even 175/60 shouldn't be a problem. Quote:
I'd recommend that you wait for next tyre change and get 13" alloys. They look so much better than 12" on Alto.

BHPian ![]() | ![]() That's what I thought. Still, look at the bright side. Your ride quality will be the same if not better (alloys + tubeless = less unsprung mass). And next time, you can get brand new alloys! Last edited by vivekgk : 2nd June 2010 at 19:21. |

| ![]() Hello Guys, I recently upgraded to 12" Plati Alloys for my Alto. Cost me 9800 for a set of 4. They are running on 145/80 R12 Michelin XM1+, which i bought some 6 months ago at 1950 a piece. Love the look of my Car now. Am planning to add a Red Radium Lip to the Alloys. But am not sure if it will gel with the Car. Suggestions ![]() Here are some Pics of the Tyres and Alloys. |

During my search for alloys, I could find 12 inchers only in Neo & Plati. Apart from these, I had checked in Prestige, League (there are 2 designs but not imported to India), Lenso, HR/Hijoin. The 12 inchers available in Plati are as below (first pic is the design that abhi3284 has):

| ![]() hi Abhi, You can add a red lip. But it wont last long as it isnt factory fitted. It is very difficult to find someone who will do a good job in such a way that the red lip will not peel away after a few drives through the rain. |

Dint think much then, went ahead and got spacers installed. Only later did I realize the cars handling went for a toss. Please check with the regular alloy and tire dealers in town. 12 inchers shouldn't cost you so much, 13" also retails at around 2500/- to 2700/- tops.
