The owner of the Chevrolet Fleetmaster can't make up his mind - if he wants to restore the car or if he wants to sell it .

Another set of FIATS awaiting restoration -

a nice Willys Wagon (LHD), the body looks like a real Willys Station Wagon, but is not.

it is definitely a custom body, but can anyone tell me when were these fenders offered by M&M??

Its definitely not a real Willys Wagon. Those fenders are standard MM540 fenders stamped on to the body!

The background seems to suggest this car has come up with the scrappers at Hazra Road again.

V-16 Dude if i remember correctly there were some small buildings when you took the left after you past the Lotus eye hospital on the right then the left.

I remember seeing quite a few of these classics in some bungalows behind Juhu Gym. Don't know what the scene is now.
Been a very long time now since i then, roads that used to be a daily route.
I know what you are talking about. The guy had periodically killed most of the cars that were parked with him. You are talking of the Dart 67 coupe he had. He runs a garage but this is not at that place. This is on the main road perpendicular to the Kala Niketan. Go ahead from Kala Niketan towards Juhu and take the first right at the Signal. The Buick was parked there on the left a few meters from the Signal.

This particular one is a LWB version. Was offered for sale a few years ago. The pics look of the same place so maybe its still unsold.

There were at least two Checker Marathons in India. One, in Bombay, a green one which always parkrd on Malabar Hill, later on Altamount Road, subsequently believed scrapped. This second one I had first seen in Coimbatore, white colour, engine opened up, replaced with a Chevy engine, now for sale. Sorry, no yellow cabs here

Cheers harit

This looks like a Messerschmitt KR200. Nice specimen, and definitely does not belong to this thread, but the front looks a little different. Here's the photo of the original

Yeah, it seems to be one with aftermarket replacements/repairs.
(try getting OE for this!!)
it looks good though, no?
just the name if the firm is enough to get goose pimples!
I, for one, would definitely stop and click pictures of this, or talk to the owner.
definitely a once in a lifetime sight.

Ford LTD V8

Seen this HUGE Ford LTD V8 in Shivaji Park area of Dadar, Mumbai yesterday evening.
The engine was not starting properly, but as the driver is cranking it the huge amount of smoke is coming out of its twin exhaust. Seems to be re-registered with Thane RTO.
It seems to have many original things including decals on its back & roof, & especially white walls with original FORD engraved wheel caps.

This is one of three such Messerschnits known in India, others in Mumbai and Chennai. They are like an aircraft cockpit on wheels, even the steering wheel is different. When the canopy is in place, the driver gets toasted!!

This LTD has been seen on the thread on Media Related Matters, been moving around Mumbai a while. But where do you see such cars today?

Cheers harit

@ Harit,
Any guess, which year this car is from ???
(I think that it might be from mid 70's, as per the front design)

Does anyone know where this Chrysler is? She was a Rajasthan car, landed up in Mumbai and was lying on Nepean Sea Road. Had even participated in some rallies and exhibitions where this photo was taken.

Cheers harit
