These 2 cabrios participated in a rally to Lonavala from Bombay in 2004. One is an Austin Healey Sprite and the other an Alfa Romeo Spyder. Are they familiar to anyone? I haven't seen them before.

Karl the alfa is owned by a bhori/aghakhani guy in Mumbai he also has old bikes. He was profiled by Autocar in that vertical section where they do a quick owner Q&A or was it some other car mag the smaller one Car & bike or ah no Motoring. He is form Mumbai and has had her a long time. I think he also had/has a TC but this one has been with him for a while and he is the guy holding the door for the kid in the pic. He is a proprietor of some family firm

That car used to belong to fellow BHPian Wasif at one point. I saw it in Delhi in January. Where did you friend see it?

F.D. had two of them and there was a white one which was brought down by someone from the Italian counsulate.

This is the Alfa Romeo Spider which was introduced in 1966 and carried on to 4 generations. Mumbai had two cars of the first generation, one red and the other blue. None of these had CC plates, but one was driven by a foreigner living on Nepean Sea Road. Both these cars landed up with F.D., and both were sold, one to Chennai and the other elsewhere.
Then came another car, silver colour with a TMX registration and it was lying in the National Garage display. Though National Garage were agents for Peugeot, they very rarely displayed any foreign cars, almost always Ambassadors.
I do not remember a white Alfa Spider in Mumbai at all.
Now there is also one in Bangalore.
Whether this red car also came from F.D. I do not know.

Cheers harit

The white car stood in Kanchanjanga building at Kemps corner and was regularly driven by the person. It had foriegn plates if i remember right and he took the car back with him when he left India. My brother should have pictures of it too.

I just stated the three cars i know off Harit uncle. Thank you for the information.

That looks like a 1949 Buick Super saloon gliding gracefully over the Lake Gardens flyover! These pics should be in the vintage and classic section.

This is really not a good sight!!

Was at Hard Rock Cafe today. Parked my car in the lot and on my way out spotted this incredibly long car which I couldn't get my eyes off.
On a closer look, noticed that it was a Rolls Royce, Silver Spur II.
Unfortunately, it was lying there unattended. There was dust all over and cob-webs in the wheel wells. The spirit of ecstasy was also missing

Anyone know who it belongs to??

Check out the Santro standing next to it which looks nothing more than a baby's toy
