Mr. Bhogilal's Airflow..appropriately named as "Tutti-fruity" for its colour scheme.

Are these the cars you saw?

A Standard Pennant in India

If so thats not a Millecento but a later model (Select) and both the cars are said to be owned by a guy who rents them out for film shoots and are therefore not for sale! :(
They are sadly not cared for otherwise!

It could be the same cars. Number plates were removed and both were in the same location along wit some other vehicles along the road side. Felt sad when I saw them in that condition.

I would regularly see some classics at that pump, including a Beetle, a Vauxhall, Morris Minor and many old jeeps. The modified Amby in the back is a permanent fixture.

Lovely to see a minor braving the elements, Kasli hats off to you for the picture. One cant fail but notice that this little gem was attempting a U turn when the signal was REDI have often seen this little one near the gamdevi police station, always being driven by someone with a big smile.

Nice ...is that a black Padmini top right of picture ??? Do people still use these as daily drivers.

The picture could pass as a period shot going by the few cars visible....I imagine streets of Mumbai are very crowded these days yeah ?

Thats the familiar Black & Yellow Padmini taxi, once a common-as-dirt sight in Bombay but now steadily disappearing due to the local govt. directive on cabs more than 20 years old to be scrapped! Now among the new breed of cabs there are 2-pot hatchbacks like Santros, or Maruti vans. It would never be the same I guess.

Re: Pics: Vintage & Classic cars in India

Very nice Austin, except for the brightwork finished in brass. Unless its the photo quality because the Rover's radiator has a goldenish hue too, unless that is also finished in brass, which would be a pity. Nice Rover too by the way. Is it a 4 or 6cyl?

Re: Pics: Vintage & Classic cars in India

Sadly the rover is destroyed completely with those awful colors. The Austin is perfect. I'm not sure about the engine though.
