Re: Pics: Vintage & Classic cars in India

I spotted this classic Morris Minor near Park Sheraton Hotel in Chennai a couple of weeks ago. Believe it is the Series I (going by the proud 1951 sticker , the Series II started in 1952). You can also see the "Made In England" badge at the bottom left corner

If i am correct, something is looking odd here. I think the rear glass is lifted from a Ambassador and so is the rear no. plate light. Tail light also are not MM ones.
PS: will stop editing my post as the list is going on and on

Difficult to tell without looking at the car from any other angle but the car looks kinda bigger than a 'Minor' (). could it be a Hindustan 14 and not a MM??

Re: Pics: Vintage & Classic cars in India

I had checked out the car from the front while driving past it. It was a Morris Minor. But not sure as to what parts (some of them listed above) have been changed.

Don't want to increase the list of flaws but the Petrol filler cap position also seems to be altered. I think its been moved upward.
@ C.S.ANANTH: Thanks for confirming the model sir.
