Uh, speedy, you'll forgive me but to me the lines on it make it look more like early 50s-ish....you sure its a 40s Kaiser?
And I dont think Kaisers were ever assembled here, unlike GM/Ford/Chrysler cars?

it looks like a late 40's kaiser, somewhere around 47 48 as it is of a similar shape to my 47 studebaker. i could be wrong and i am presumeing the year on this basis. this is the second kaiser i have seen. first one in bombay.

This very same car was destroyed in the recent movie "Dhamaal". It had an MDC regn, (Mardas?), and was first made to unsuccesfully jump a broken bridge, then catch fire, explode, and ultimately just fall apart. how could they! Infact I later recall having seen one hubcap from this car at chor bazaar. Wish I had picked it up for novelty purposes...it got sold in front of me.
They Trashed this car? Could't they just do that to some old Amby? its like pushing these cars to extinction.

X guys was just going through the thread and came to realise that this Phantom does not belong to VJM but it belongs to Mr Bhogilal. i dont know who the S class belongs too.
Dont care if Mally owns these or not. Makes for a neat wallpaper.

Number 53, Herbie himself. A very faithfully executed job, this.

Awesome job. Looks just like the Herbie car.

Anyone tried to transplant a new age engine in one of these old shells? Indian Muscle car project anyone?

ironwolf you could be the first to transplant the heart if you want. old beetle with a new heart. it would not be easy doing it though. i woul;d suggest getting a 1600 and doing up this engine.

this is the car from the movie Dhamaal, you see it in the promo's of the film. when the jump sceene are shown and all the other stunts i am sure they must have removed the engine and other things. might have even used a gypsy chasis with the body

its not the actors fault but the dictors for makeing the demand and the producers for fullfilling it.
sanjay dutt in his childhood and teenage years had some great cars in his house. ford mustang, mg tc, vw van , dodge , cadillac, mercedes 115, bmw 2dr, willys jeep and some other cars. now in current he has had the cayanne and now the Q7, the mercedes S class with awsome wheels, ferrari f430. he is really fond of cars and has a passion for them. its not right blameing him. he would have been as hurt as anyone of us.
