Raaste Pyaar Ke (1982)

In an opening sequence we see a choptop 1940s Studebaker and the familiar VW dune buggy that we've seen in many films before.

This one looks like a Mazda from the logo on the grill. Google search shows - Mazda 929 Coupe from the mid to late 70's.

Re: Old Bollywood & Indian Films : The Best Archives for Old Cars

A 1959 Chevrolet Impala featured in this song from the 1960's film Sagaai. Biswajeet and Rajashri (V.Shantaram's daughter also seen in Brahmachari) lipsync and the song "na yeh zameen thi" sung by Mohammed Rafi and Asha Bhonsle is set to tune by Ravi. The car is only seen in the beginning for a few moments and at the end with its posterior. It very soon disappears.

Nirnayam (Malyalam) 1995

We see Mohanlal's Cadillac, also featured in other movies.

As late as the 90s films were still using a VW Baywindow ambulance to destroy in a chase scene.

Re: Old Bollywood & Indian Films : The Best Archives for Old Cars

From the 1960 movie "Jaali Note" starring Dev Anand and Madhubala, this song "bahut hasi ho" , shows Bombay traffic of the times for a few seconds after 0.15 secs, some 7 seconds after 0.43 secs and also around 2.25 mins, towards the end. Sung by Mohammed Rafi and Asha Bhonsle, music is by O.P.Nayyar.

Re: Old Bollywood & Indian Films : The Best Archives for Old Cars

From the film "Hanste Zakhm" (1973) lovers Navin Nischal and Priya Rajvansh are seen moving in a Fiat taxi through the streets of Bombay. The hero is driving this car. Though for most of the song's duration, the windscreen and the front seat occupants behind are shown, in a few scenes the city traffic can be seen. The taxi's meter is visible in a few scenes.

The best part of this video are the Bombay rains that seem to pour over the car in some scenes. This revives our memories of having observed the Fiat/Premier taxis braving Bombay's monsoons since decades.

From the Bengali Film "Deya Neya" that was released in the year 1963, starring Uttam Kumar and Tanuja. A 1954-55 DeSoto Diplomat Convertible (LHD) (WBD 7188) owned by Tanuja's family in the film is prominently seen, though some other cars appear in the two videos from traffic scenes.
