The bike in the second pic is a Matchless G3L with sidecar and the 4th pic is a BSA B31 350 single .

Does anyone know of a Tamil Black and White movie in which there is a MG Y Type and a Singer Roadster appearing in several scenes. I saw this movie in Sun TV in the early 2000s and I think there are 2 heroes and 2 heroines in it. One of the heroines who is an athlete goes to Ceylon and wins. The story was something like that

Mid '60s?! Or did you mean mid 50s? Although it would be even older than that- a late 40s/early 50s model.

Sorry, that's a typo. Yes, I had meant mid 1950's. The body contours visible and the windscreen shape together with the window design led me to conclude that it's a Chrysler Corpn car of the 1950's.

It was the Standard Motor Products (a.k.a Standard Motors colloquially) factory - the 2000 was one of the automobiles they made there, besides the Standard 20 commercial vehicles, as can be seen in the song.

Seen in a late 60s Tamil movie! Could anyone identify the first two cars? The saloon with the roof rack looks French, from the wheels! And the little boxy roadster in the first and another pic. further down? Seems custom-built.

Not a Bollywood movie but a video of the Pope's visit to India in 1964! Courtesy youtube. Not much of car stuff but a couple of nice old Chevy buses and a Dodge/Plymouth wagon can be seen- what is that car in front of the wagon?
