Best of luck with the delivery date. Just spoke to the owner of Arya Honda, he's vacillating on deliveries - says there is some issue at the plant, and that all of last month's scheduled deliveries have had to be postponed. He's talking about April deliveries for cars ordered in early October.

Congratulation on the Figo booking. Could not understand the Painting ORM thing - whats that? Is this body coloured door handles? AFAIK the Thane RTO does accept the rent agreement, you should visit the RTO to get more details. 7K is pure fleecing, dont buy it. If you have permanent address proof, then rent agreement should do.

Sorry i mean the outside mirrors & the door handles on EXI are black, they are being painted body color.
No i dont have any documents which have my current address. All my documents ( Passport , D/l , Voter ID, etc) have my native places address.

To top it this rent agreement is not notarized , since the owner is abroad & he doenst want to give a power of attorney to anyone else.

I called up few other dealers & RTO agents that my office admin guy gave me , they also quoted 5-7 k for the same job.

I believe you could have got more discount than what you have been offered. There was a thread in Indian Car Scene forum detailing the same. Maybe you can ask for help in there.

Thanks. @raVan, I checked the thread as well. I realized the showroom priced quoted to me was already the discounted price of October. On top of it, I get a 52K discount. I do plan to push for additional discounts. I havent paid beyond the initial booking amount, and I know they are in a hurry to clear the stocks out. Lets see how it goes.

Notorized has no meaning in Maharashtra state. It has to be registered for it to be acceptable in the court of law (in MH only).
Having said that, you have one potential option (if you want to save money and have a couple of days to spare).
1. Get an affidavit using the agreement that you already have.
2. Use that affidavit along with rent agreement (and other necessary documents) to register the car at RTO.

So did you mean that you got the 60k advertised discount plus 52k additional discount plus the freebies? What was your ex-showroom price finally? (I think per price list its 9.52 L in Bangalore for V-AT).
