Arvind Mathew to replace Chetan Maini as Mahindra Reva CEO

Earlier this week, we had reported that Chetan Maini could be leaving Mahindra Reva (click here to read our report). Now Mahindra & Mahindra has announced that Arvind Mathew will take over as the CEO of the company from May 1, 2015.

Arvind Mathew is a mechanical engineer and MBA from the University of Michigan. He has worked for more than two decades at Ford Motor Company. He became President and Managing Director of Ford India in 2005. Prior to joining Mahindra Reva, he was serving as the CEO of Tata Advanced Materials Ltd.

Chetan Maini, who founded Reva, is likely to remain associated with the company in an advisory capacity. Mahindra claims that he will have a wider role and will be responsible for incubating new technology ventures and leading other technology initiatives of the Mahindra Group.
