Ducati Diavel Diesel edition re-launched at Rs. 21.70 lakh

Ducati has re-launched the limited edition Diavel Diesel in India. The bike was first launched back in March 2017 but sales were stopped following the introduction of BS-IV emission regulations on April 1, 2017. It was launched at a price of Rs. 19.92 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) but is now offered at a revised price of Rs. 21.70 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

The production of Diavel Diesel edition is limited to just 666 units worldwide and hence it's only available by special order. Ducati Design Centre and Andrea Ross - the creative director for licenses at Diesel collaborated to create this bike. The design is characterized by hand-brushed stainless-steel body panels with visible welding points and rivets. The exhaust is wrapped in black Zircotec ceramic coating. The bike rides on black painted wheels and gets contrasting red brake calipers. The patterned leather seat gets a pyramid symbol featuring the three Ds of Ducati, Diavel and Diesel.

Mechanically, the Diesel edition uses the same liquid-cooled twin-cylinder engine as the standard Diavel but it has been revised to be BS-IV compliant. It produces 160 BHP @ 9,250 rpm and 130.5 Nm of torque @ 8,000 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox that is equipped with a slipper clutch. Brakes come in the form of twin 320-mm semi-floating discs with 4-piston calipers in the front and a 265-mm rear rotor with 2-piston caliper. It gets ABS as standard.
