Lexus RX450h spotted at Toyota stockyard in India

Lexus is all set to make its India entry in the near future. Earlier reports have shown the automaker importing various cars like the ES300h, RX450h, and LX450d into India. Now, spy shots of the RX450h parked at what looks like a Toyota stockyard have appeared on the internet.

Lexus had recently imported a batch of 14 units of the RX450h. Media reports suggest that the RX will probably be the first model to go on sale under the Lexus brand in India. It will be initially available only with a hybrid powertrain, while plans of a diesel variant are also on the cards.

The RX450h is powered by a 3.5-litre, V6 petrol engine that is complemented by a electric motor to cumulatively develop around 304 BHP. This powertrain is mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). While international markets get both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations, the India-spec model is likely to come only with an AWD setup.
