Mahindra will be announcing the name of its upcoming MPV on July 31, 2018.
The new MPV (codenamed: U321) is based on a new monocoque chassis. Spy images suggest that it will be similarly sized to an Innova Crysta. It has a slatted grille in the front flanked by projector headlights. The front bumper houses a set of fog lamps that have integrated L-shaped LED DRLs. It has vertically stacked tail lights and a roof spoiler at the rear.
The U321 MPV gets dual-tone interiors. The dashboard has a piano black fascia, while the centre console houses an infotainment screen. It has a 3-spoke steering wheel and an instrument cluster with purple backlight.
Media reports suggest that the U321 MPV will be offered with a new 1.6-litre diesel engine paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. It will compete with the Toyota Innova Crysta, Tata Hexa and others in the Indian market.
