More details on the Tata Altroz

We have received more details on the Tata Altroz. The car is rumoured to be launched on January 22, 2020 and it could be priced between Rs. 5.5-9.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

We are told that the Altroz and Harrier are built on the same production line. Initially, the car could be offered with one dual-tone colour option (Red with Black roof). While Gold, Red and White cars have been spotted at the stockyard, not a single silver or grey car was seen.

The Tata Altroz might not come with a factory-fitted electric sunroof. Instead, it could be offered as an accessory.

The Tata Altroz petrol is expected to get an updated 1.2-litre engine that is believed to have a balancer shaft. The air filter assembly is also believed to have been moved from the top of the engine (like in the Tiago) to the battery side. The car is expected to get good firewall insulation.

There's no news of a turbocharged petrol engine and an automatic gearbox.
