The month of June 2021 is expected to witness a number of new cars being launched in the market. Here are all the important ones.

Hyundai Alcazar

The Hyundai Alcazar is the brand's 7-seater SUV, based on the Creta. The new Hyundai Alcazar was initially expected to go on sale in April, however, amidst the pandemic and the subsequent lockdown in many parts of the country, the launch of the Alcazar has been pushed to June 2021.

The Hyundai Alcazar, once launched, will be positioned above the Creta. It will be offered with two engine options - a 2.0-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel, both paired with either a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission unit.

The Alcazar will be positioned above the Creta in Hyundai's India lineup. It will take on rivals such as the MG Hector Plus and the Tata Safari.

Skoda Octavia

The 4th-gen Skoda Octavia is expected to go on sale in the Indian market on June 10, 2021. The sedan has already started arriving at dealerships.

The new-generation Octavia is based on the brand's MQB EVO platform and is said to have a slightly longer wheelbase than the previous model. It also comes packed with a host of new features and equipment.

The new Skoda Octavia could be offered with two turbo-petrol engine options - a 1.5-litre TSI and a 2.0-litre TSI, paired with a 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmissions, respectively.

Volkswagen Tiguan Facelift

The Volkswagen Tiguan facelift is yet another model whose launch has been delayed amidst the pandemic. The 5-seater SUV was initially scheduled to go on sale in May 2021, however, its launch has been pushed to June.

The SUV will come with a number of updates, both to its exterior and interiors. This includes a host of new features and equipment as well.

Powering the Volkswagen Tiguan facelift will be a 2.0-litre TSI engine, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission unit.

Skoda Kushaq

The Skoda Kushaq is one of the most awaited SUVs in the Indian market. The Kushaq will debut the brand's MQB A0 IN platform and is also expected to come with a host of features and equipment. Skoda is said to be working on introducing the Kushaq in the Indian market by end-June.

The Skoda Kushaq was unveiled earlier this year and has been spotted testing on multiple occasions. The brand-new SUV will be powered by either a 113 BHP 1.0-litre TSI unit or a larger 1.5-litre TSI engine churning out 148 BHP. The engines will come mated either to a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Audi e-tron SUV

Audi has been working on introducing the e-tron electric SUV in the Indian market for quite a while now. Earlier this year, the company had confirmed that the electric SUV would finally make its debut during the first half of 2021.

Audi will introduce both the e-tron and e-tron Sportback SUV in the Indian market. The electric SUV is said to be powered by a 95kWh lithium-ion battery pack, paired with two electric motors. The powertrain is said to offer a combined output of 355 BHP and 551 Nm. Audi also claims a range of 400 km on a single charge (WLTP cycle).

Once launched in India, the Audi e-tron will rival the likes of the Mercedes-Benz EQC and the Jaguar I-Pace.
