Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 spied with dual front disc brakes

Royal Enfield also appears to have upgraded the suspension on the Interceptor 650.

The 2025 Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 has been spotted testing in India. The latest spy images reveal some interesting details about the upcoming version.

At first glance, this pre-production test mule looks identical to the Interceptor 650 that is currently on sale. The bike has a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, a flat seat, and upswept exhausts finished in chrome.

However, the 2025 iteration of the Interceptor 650 will come with a single-pod digital instrument console, a circular LED headlamp, an LED taillight and turn indicators, and a new rear fender. The test bike also appears to have a different fuel filler cap.

The most significant upgrade though comes in the form of dual front disc brakes, paired with axially mounted Bybre calipers. Combined with a single rear disc, the setup should improve the overall braking performance.

Royal Enfield also appears to have upgraded the suspension on the Interceptor 650. The telescopic front fork looks new, and it gets adjustable twin shock absorbers at the rear.

The bike is expected to use the familiar 648cc, parallel-twin engine that produces 47 BHP and 52 Nm. The engine will be paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
