Rumour: Triumph Tiger 900 to be launched in May 2020

According to a media report, Triumph is planning to launched the Tiger 900 in India in May 2020.

The Tiger 900 is expected to be imported via the completely knocked down (CKD) route. It has been reported that the bike could be offered in three variants - GT Pro, Rally and Rally Pro.

The Tiger 900 is based on a new chassis. The GT Pro variant comes with alloy wheels, while the Rally variants get wire spoke wheels. The bike has twin LED headlights and pilot lights as well as an adjustable windscreen. It comes with a 7-inch instrument panel that offers Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. The bike has five riding modes - Rain, Road, Sport, Off-Road and Rider. The Rally Pro variant gets an additional mode which turns off the ABS and traction control.

The Tiger 900 is powered by an 888cc, 3-cylinder engine that produces 94 BHP @ 8,750 rpm and 87 Nm @ 7,250 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

The bike comes with 45 mm upside down fork suspension at the front and has an adjustable monoshock at the rear. The braking setup consists of twin 320 mm disc brakes at the front and a single 255 mm disc at the rear.
