Scoop: Is this an updated Mahindra Thar at a dealership?

Earlier this month, we had reported that Mahindra was testing a facelifted version of the Thar (click here to read report). Now a Thar with some updates has been spotted at a dealership, leading us to believe that this could indeed be the facelift.

Going by the images, the updated Thar gets mild changes - a lot lesser than what we were expecting. These include a revised soft top with a slant at the back and side steps finished in black. On the inside, the vehicle gets a dash of silver on the dashboard and the centre console.

The Thar facelift is expected to continue with the same engines as the current model:

• 2,498 cc, 4-cylinder, CRDe diesel, 104 bhp, 247 Nm, four-wheel drive
• 2,523 cc, 4-cylinder, DI diesel, 63 bhp, 187 Nm, two / four-wheel drive
