Netflix will air a six-part mini-series based on the life of 3-time Formula 1 World Champion Ayrton Senna later this year.
The first teaser of the upcoming series was released on Senna's 30th death anniversary. It features the 1991 Brazilian Grand Prix, which Senna famously won.
Netflix states, "The 6-part series will showcase Senna’s journey of triumphs, disappointments, joys, and sorrows, unveiling his personality and personal relationships. It begins with the start of the three-time Formula 1 champion’s motor racing career, when he moves to England to compete in Formula Ford, and continues to his fatal accident in Imola, Italy, during the San Marino Grand Prix."
The series has been produced by the Senna family, with Gabriel Leone in the lead role. Matt Mella plays Alain Prost, Patrick Kennedy plays McLaren team principal Ron Dennis, Steven Mackintosh is in the role of Williams boss Frank Williams, and Tom Mannion will play FIA doctor Professor Sid Watkins.

As per reports, a new documentary series detailing the story of the Brawn GP Formula1 team and their 2009 World Championship win is in the works.
The documentary will be hosted by Hollywood actor, Keanu Reeves. The documentary will have four episodes and is scheduled to debut on November 15, 2023, on Hulu in the US and Disney+ for the rest of the world.
The docu-series will take viewers through the story of how Ross Brawn bought the team for just 1 GBP and ended up winning both the Driver's and Constructor's titles in the 2009 F1 season. Jenson Button who won the 2009 Driver's World Championship with Brawn will be featured in the series and has confirmed that the documentary will showcase plenty of unseen archival footage shot during that time. The series will also feature Ross Brawn, team CEO Nick Fry and Button's teammate Rubens Barrichello.
Post the 2009 success though, Brawn sold the team to Mercedes-Benz and stayed with them till 2013 before taking a break from F1. Ross Brawn returned to the sport in 2017 and took up the role of a manager on the sport's administrative side.
Keanu Reeves is said to have interviewed multiple personalities linked to F1 around the 2009 season. Reeves, himself is known to be a car and motorcycle enthusiast and has been spotted at multiple F1 races over the years.

Following the success of Formula 1's 'Drive to Survive' series, MotoGP is now launching a similar documentary series based on the motorcycle racing championship. Dubbed MotoGP Unlimited, the series is currently airing on Amazon Prime Video.
MotoGP Unlimited is an 8-part series featuring 6-time World Champion Marc Marquez and the 2021 champ Fabio Quartararo. Each episode is around 50 minutes long.
Besides the riders, the series also showcases the crew that works behind the scenes, including the team managers. It is said to be less dramatic compared to the action-packed Drive to Survive series that's taken Netflix by storm.

Following the success of the Netflix series 'Formula 1: Drive To Survive', Dorna Sports - the organizers of the FIM MotoGP World Championship have announced a new documentary that will air on Amazon Prime.
The new documentary series will have 8-episodes of 50 minutes each. It will give us a behind-the-scenes look at the premier motorcycle racing championship, just like the Netflix series on Formula 1.
The series will include some of the biggest riders, including Valentino Rossi, Marc Marquez, Fabrio Quartararo, Francesco Bagnaia, Jack Miller, as well as team managers and other important people that are involved in the sport.
The MotoGP documentary series will be produced by 'The Mediapro Studio' and is scheduled to release in 150 countries in 2022.

National Geographic will air a documentary film about the development of the Tata Nexon EV tonight (September 18, 2021) at 7:00 pm.
Titled 'Evolve to Electric with Tata Motors', the 44 min documentary highlights Tata Motors' plan to introduce an EV version of the Nexon in 2018 with an aim to put it on the road in just 12-16 months.
The film takes us behind the scenes at Tata Motors' factory where the Nexon EV is manufactured. It also sheds light on the company's plans to build the infrastructure to support the growth of the EV ecosystem in India.

A new documentary film on the life of 7-time Formula 1 champion Michael Schumacher will air on Netflix on September 15, 2021.
The film titled, Schumacher, is the first film supported by his family. It gives a unique insight into the life of the legendary driver. The documentary will feature Schumacher's wife Corinna, son Mick, daughter Gina-Marie and father Rolf.
According to the producers, the film will not only portray Michael's career but also show the many facets of a complex man - the merciless and daring Formula 1 driver, the ambitious athlete, the accomplished mechanic with a unique technical flair, the reliable team player and loving family man.
Schumacher was seriously injured in a skiing accident back in December 2013. Having suffered a brain injury, he was put under a medically induced coma.

F1 fans are all set to get a brand new docuseries to watch in the not-so-distant future. According to reports, the new show will be an eight-part series, documenting the life of former F1 boss, Bernie Ecclestone.
The new eight-part docuseries is said to trace the life of Bernie Ecclestone, from his birth in Suffolk, UK, to his brief racing career, his ownership of the Brabham team and finally becoming the boss of F1. It will also showcase the growth and success of F1 under his leadership.
The docuseries, called 'Lucky!' is said to be produced by Manish Pandey, who previously wrote the award-winning documentary 'Senna' - following the career of the legendary Brazilian F1 driver, Ayrton Senna.
Extensive filming for the docuseries with Ecclestone, now 90 years, is already said to have been completed at his home in Switzerland, during the lockdown. However, the details of when and where the series will be broadcast are yet to be announced.

Amazon Prime Video has released Fernando - a documentary series on two-time Formula 1 World Champion Fernando Alonso. The series has been produced by The Mediapro Studio and has five parts:
The series focuses on the life of Alonso since he retired at the end of the 2018 Formula 1 season. It covers his participation in other motorsports such as the Indianapolis 500, Le Mans 24 hours and his first outing at the Dakar Rally in January 2020.
The series also features interviews with people close to the Spaniard including his manager Luis García Abad, his sister Lorena Alonso, his partner Linda Morselli and his colleague Carlos Sainz.
Fernando Alonso is making a return to Formula One in 2021 with the Alpine F1 Team (formerly known as Renault).
