| Dont know if tata is making an export specific model as well because have seen a sportier looking version of the above as well.Infact I initially thought it was a ford endevour pick-up version[front view quite similar] but it was confirmed as a tata product once the moment I saw it go into the Telco premises. |

| Yup, saw one outside the Tata Motors Pimpri plant..front grill looked just like the endeavour's, had me confused for a while....that was a twin cab version though, I think. Also saw a heavily taped up Indica there a couple of weeks ago......... |

| Whew! Finally a good look at this thing.. After two failed attempts to click its pics as mentioned in this post (Tata TL 4X4 India's First Sports Utility Truck (SUT)). I absolutely love the new front end. Considering that the new TL will be mainly targeted at the export market, quality will take a giant leap too. BTW, what remains to be seen is whether the 2.2 L DICOR will be introduced on this one. And I agree with you Bunny, its mighty quick. I was riding at 80 kmph when I was within a few meters of this thing, when the driver decided to floor it. By the time I got myself to 100kmph (i was on a 150 DTSi), he had disappeared over the horizon.

| Hey great pics..Congrats...we finally get to see what the forthcomind TL would look like, thanks to you....i guess they will be changing the headlamps and tail lights cause they look like temporary units to fill up the spaces and also to enable the car to be testworthy and road legal during testing.. |

| Senior - BHPian | With a set of alloys, broader tyres and better head & tail lamps, this could be the pick-up truck I'm looking for. If it is equipped with the 2.2 DICOR, then....ssslllluuurrrp. Will it have a 4x4?? Bunnybhai, great pics from a 2wheeler at 100Kmph. I am sure you must have had a pillion to do this..If not, then truly amazing... | Senior - BHPian | Bunny - good catch. Thanks for the pics. What abt the other pics - can you post them on imageshack? From the pics, this things looks like a beast. Reminds a bit of the pick-ups from dodge etc. Hoping the interior is more than just an evolution from the current 207DI-Ex.

The new TL doesn't look radically different from the current TL/207. Considering that the Tatamobile appeared way back in July 1988, a more contemporary design would have been more welcome. Apart from the 2.2 DICOR, they should also offer the 4 cylinder 3.8 litre Cummins engine which Tata's subsidiary Tata Cummins already produces. Then it might even sell in the US! Great pics Bunny!
