I had to actually show him that this is called Tempered Glass and not Tinted Glass. All other dealerships in Pune and Mumbai deliver the cars with Tinted Glasses. I called the Ford Call Centre in Chennai and they said that within 24 hours I'll get a call however it took them over 7 days to give me a call back and the lady on the other side maintained that Tinted Glasses means what the dealership told me. |
Tinted glass = sun film. Figo is not sold with sun film this has to be purchased as an accessory. However the glasses are mildly tinted maybe like 5-10% tints. I believe only the ZXi and Titanium have this mild tint. Quote:
2. The Bluetooth system works only with some bluetooth devices. I have a Nokia N70 and a N72 both these pair with the system and only the bluetooth handsfree feature works, I am unable to get the music player to play any tracks. However, it works with my dad's Nokia 3500 classic (which is now a defunct model)
Also the N72 and N70 lose the BT connectivity even if the handset is left on the dashboard or in the cup holder.

This is a known problem that the BT unit connects with only some phones. Ford have a list of phones it is compatible with which they have published. Unfortunately this list does not cover a wide range of phones. Quote:
3. The boot has a very rough finish, just near the hinges after opening the hatch one can clearly see scratch marks and it
looks like someone has applied M-Seal to stick it to the body and then painted it.
|
This is common to many cars but the Figo has it more. Nothing to really worry about but it does look a little bad. Quote:
4. There is a feature on the headlamp actuator dial for FOG Lamps and the instrument console clears lights up with the fog lamp indication however there are no fog lamps in the car
|
Fog lamps are sold as accessory which you need to buy. The new Figo's have the switch which has the fog lamp provision. In the older ones you had to change the switch. Again the switch will have both front and rear fog lamps but Ford only provides the front. The rear ones are not wired even even though the instrument console has it. Quote:
5. The Seat Belt lamp is there in the console however if the passenger or the driver is not wearing the seat belt, the warning lamp shows no indication.
|
There is no seat belt warning feature in the Figo. The instrument console may have the provision for South African models. Quote:
6. The boot lamp is not powerful enough to even spot things easily so I have bought a white light torch and kept it in the car.
|
Didn't face this problem but you can always change the bulb to an LED type. Quote:
7. The seat height adjuster -- This only tilts the seat in a sea-saw fashion does not actually help in increasing or decreasing the height of the drivers' seat
|
Typical Ford that's the way it is. Same with the Fiesta. Quote:
8. The Ford Music System which has a USB capability actually does not have a USB connector as a standard fitment. The USB ot AUX cable needs to be purchased seperately for Rs.1200/- During the sales pitch this is not made clear to the customers.
|
The dealer should have told this and the brochure mentions it. It's also listed in accessory price list. If you search around you will find a very cheap DIY solution for this.
By the way all these issues above are described in multiple Figo threads and have been discussed very extensively.
Oh yeah and one more thing don't look below the steering column. You will find a provision for steering column height adjust but it's not there in the Figo. |
