Dust to Glory

: : DUST TO GLORY : :

On the GIR, we went to John's place for a while in the evening. During our conversation, we showed us a preview of the movie "Dust to Glory".. the movie seemed rockin and finally i have a copy of it with me

It is based on the famous Baja 1000 race, where you have vehicles like dirt bikes, buggies, pick-ups and even good old beetles participating for a 1000mile (1600km) non stop race thru nothing much mostly offroads

You can know more about the movie from the link above, i shall be posting my view of the movie soon

The World's Fastest Indian - No, its not a movie about Narain Karthikeyan. Its about a legendary 63yr old Burt Munroe of New Zealand who with his grit and determination wins numerous landspeed records at the Bonneville Salt Lake. One of the most inspiring auto related movies of all times. Its a depiction of a real story, with some wonderful acting by Anthony Hopkins. A MUST WATCH if you haven't. Definitely one of my all time favorites.

Goal The Dream Begins - Story of a Mexican immigrant by name Santiago Numez who leaves Los Angles in a quest to get into the Westham United soccer team. The beginning of his dream and how he achieves it.

Goal II Living the Dream - Santiago Numez gets a transfer to play in one of the most prestigious clubs of all time. Alongside Zinadene Zidane, Raul, Roberto Carlos, David Beckham. Yes, the most talked about and talented team in the Spanish La Lega or the worldover, one and only REAL MADRID. Definitely one of the best sports oriented movies I have seen.

Crank - A mafia man gets injected by a Chinese poison by his rivals. The only way he can live is by pumping adrenaline into his body so that his heart doesn't stop beating while his doctor arrives from another city. Hilarious and action packed.

Accepted - Story of a kid who doesn't get accepted by any college in town. To keep away his parents disappointment he & his friends scam to create a fake college on the internet. As the story unfolds the lies end up in the running of an unauthorized college, the very uniqueness of this college gets them the recognition from the Ed.Dept. Very inspirational and a MUST WATCH.

Apne - Absolutely senti movie. For a bollywood effort nice boxing scenes. Dharmendra rocks. I recommed it for the mushy mushy senti poeple - they will love it, for the others its worth a watch.

ps - some cinematic Bollywood liberties can be seen as ususal in the movie.

A bloody mafia movie, some really annoying scenes and very violent.
