LOL. Param Noida Force is almost closed. They deal with only three wheelers. I asked Force to deliver my vehicle in Noida (it is hardly 200 mts from my office) since when I went to pik it up there were leaks and nut loose. When it arrived at Noida, it was day over for them. They all were asking which vehicle is this, till the time they located the "F" symbol of force in front of vehicle. Even with Force written on Vehicle they had hard time believing it.

The VP of this company is the most in competent person to deal with :(

If you are serious about getting it talk to Gurgaon and ask for Mr. Bhalla. He got some knowledge. He gave the first Gurkha to Dr. Roy. If really serious I can give you then the number of DGM sales for northern region.

@helios : Trax range of vehicle are manufactured in Pithampur plant Indore and not in Pune as far as I know

Parm,

If you are really serious about purchasing a Gurkha, you should talk to Mr. Amar Deep who is the production manager at the Force factory. He can tell you exact stock status of Gurkha and other technical details (not pricing though, that is the marketing dept). He is a nice gentleman and I had talked to him thrice in the last one month regarding the GAMA 4WD. At that time he said it takes about 70 days for a vehicle to be rolled out after order is received at the factory, so instead he advised me to go for the Gurkha which he said is readily available and can be delivered within a week.

Good luck,
Teja

Small correction. These are not exported to the US and do no the necessary safety and emission norms to be registered and driven in the US. The is sold by a company based in Miami to global markets that need cheap utilitarian vehicles. I had contacted them a while back before I booked a Gurkha. They don't have any in stock and neither does the Force. They mentioned that if they get a volume order, they can have it produced by Force.

No offence, but I find this hard to believe? Any proof? I know that the OM616 Engine and the gearbox was made by Force to supply to the Army G-Wagen models, but I have never heard of any Force Motors vehicle in use with IDF.

Saymar - Armoured Vehicle Upgrades, Refurbishment and Manufacturing

Please chk the link above. This wont confirm but they are vendor to Israeli army with Genda on their list.

During my early days of R&D on Gurkha I had come across various articles which said so. Also there was an article where Gurkha was tested in Indian magzine and was stated there as well. I never thought that we will be playing prove yourself game otherwise definitely would have kept them close.

The is a version of the Wrangler JK for military use called the J8.

"Power comes from a 150-horse turbodiesel with 295 lb-ft of torque, with that juice going to all four wheels via a five-speed auto and Jeep's Command-Trac 4WD. The J8's built to be a workhorse, with a Dana 60 rear, leaf springs in back, upgraded brakes, and a revamped intake that lets it ford 30 inches of water and handle a sandstorm lasting up to five hours. Its max payload is 2,750 pounds, and it has a towing capacity of over 7,700 pounds. Because the J8's duties will vary depending upon who's placing the order, a variety of cargo and seating configurations are offered, as is left- or right-hand-drive."
