yeah, and hope it is not a dawn-to-dusk warranty.

I can see the large pre-launch ads...first-time in India "Warranty : 4,00,000 kms or dusk whichever occurs first".

There is a very reliable warranty that ensures you have a replacement dawn within 24hrs.

How much longer will we have to wait for news on this MM540? Why all this cloak and dagger stuff? its not like tata or trax are keen on competing with mahindra in this niche.

hi behram - requesting you to go over the other thread I started yesterday or today - Diesel SUV/CRossover in the 6-7 lac range. I forgot about this thread but I ve put down what I would love to see, in the Mahindra Thar/ 540 new avatar in that thread.

Jury is out on the new 540 developement in the latest Autocar issue. Its slated to have a Scorpio engine & gearbox. Suspension bits would be from Bolero/Scorp.

Jury is out? You mean they have reviewed it thoroughly? Who reviewed it?

The Thar specs was already leaked via multiple channels, so there is no surprise. The real question is whether it will be released in India, if they do, will it be just limited version or general release, what price, etc.
