your jeep is awesome david. followed your thread closely and love the color!
Even simple rims painted black look great. No extra lights eh?
Look forward to seeing it in person at the examm and akc
Cheers,
Adi

Here are some photos of my recently acquired 'Asia Rocsta' jeep.
These Korean Jeeps were produced under licence and imported and sold in the UK in the mid 90's (Asia is now part of Kia Motors).
The engine is a 2.2l Mazda, though only 61 BHP it is a very smooth quiet lump. Five speed box and selectable 2/4WD with Hi/Lo ratio plus Freewheel selectable hubs.
My Jeep was bought off e-bay last month with one year test for £551, this equates to about 37 250 INR.

Sorry the photos are not the best but I will take some decent ones if asked. Feedback welcome and appreciated!

elan23, somehow this Jeep doesn't have the raw appeal of a Mahindra/Willys Jeep. Is it because of too much plastic? From the side it looks like a Bolero.

Does it have AC, can you fully lock the cabin?

" Samuri. Plastic is not to my taste though I do think it will look a bit less 'camp' with a matt green paintjob.
Lockable cab but no A/C (too cold here).
I will post some better photos as soon as it stops raining here'
Regards Peter.

Hey Elan buddy! nice buy, looks good. does it have hard top option i could see soft top folder at the rear. Keep enjoying the little beast. How about some Lamps, bumper etc it would make this Jeep look macho. Please do post the engine bay and any different specifications it has got.

@elan:

It's not your fault mate. Koreans tend to make Kimchee from everything they can find including Jeep cJs. Thank fully Jeep has not had to bear the indigninigy that Mercedes had to bear when they sold their tooling to Ssyang Motors in Korea.

I think with some reasonable cost, you can pack the plastics back to korea and end up with a jeep. This is the UK version of the prev gen wrangler:

Looks like you only need to order a front grille and remove the plastics, add some decent rims/tires and you will have an awsome jeep. Please post some pics when it stops raining in England. Maybe the front grille and plastics will look better in sunny weather.

My Black 540

Here are some pics of the transition of my Jeep from a open-top 2wd with skinny 6.00X16 tyres to a soft-top 4wd with 235/75R15 tyres. This is all part of the prep for AKC/EXAMM and am looking forward to it next week!

Wads: the first pic stopped just short of me getting worried if the next pics would have the car minus the rear left wheel.
