Or when someone thanks you & you say "Please avoid one liners that add no value, use the Thanks tag instead"!

True, very true and I am still smiling over your post here. Yesterday the same thing happened with me and I was awake till 12 trying to log in. Finally , frustrated , went on to Team-BHP on Facebook to tell that website was not accessible. Funny part was , this was all happening when I was planning for an early morning long trip to an off-road event in Kerala.

I just had a stopover for the night and the first thing was to check what's happening around at Team-BHP. I am not addicted at all, you see!!!lol:

...When, in a road accident, you are not just interested in what happened to the driver/people involved BUT also interested in what happened to the car/vehicle involved.

and when you have sighted the car/vehicle involved, you are now interested in the model/variant and details of that sort.

I stop purchasing auto magazines from stands and now active in TBHP, spends around 2-3 hours a day, before I was not active at posting at forums. now I am traversing through forums for interesting / knowledge sharing discussions, team bhp can be considered Wikipedia of Indian automotive arena.

My two cents:

You know when you are addicted to team-bhp when you look out for those cars with team-bhp stickers and feel happy when you spot one. I have been feeling this even before being a member on this forum. I was in Mumbai last month and every time I was on road, the only thing I was doing was looking for those team-bhp badges.

And when you end up sitting in front of your computer for the last 3 hours and the work you were supposed to do is still pending, YOU ARE ADDICTED TO TEAM-BHP!!!

You visit the website every time you get a break.
Constantly trying to find some new post or thread.
Checking the website every now and then to see if anybody has replied to a post you have written previously.
Feel happy whenever you see a car with t-bhp sticker go by.

When someone asks your daughter, Beta, what do you want to be, and gives suggestions like You can be a Doctor, and help everyone when they are sick, or You can be an engineer and build buildings, computers, or bridges, and she keeps quiet for few seconds, and then responds:-

I want to design cars :D

and your chest expands by full two inches, and wife gives a a scary look (meaning, did you teach her that, and you give back, not my fault look)

As they say, its all in the genes :D

I did this last year.

My orkut account was almost dead and I was very active on FB. Gradually I was drifted towards T-Bhp and felt the FB is just not for me. Even though I didn't get the membership of T-BHP, I deleted my FB & Orkut account and everyone was :Shockked:. On being asked, I just made an excuse that I didn't find FB useful anymore. But the real reason was addiction to T-BHP. 100 times better than any networking site, where one could find tonnes of knowledge and updates on automobiles and other fields. Every thing is discussed in detail till death:D and you can interact with like-minded petrolheads. And i know this addiction is never going to fade.

.. when you can get your peers to listen to you with rapt attention on any discussion related to automobiles.
.. when you start your computer first thing in the morning and the website that opens by default on your brower is Team-BHP - The Definitive Indian Car Community - Portal.
.. when you use auto related words like shifting gears, turbo boost, thrust, etc., to motivate your colleagues/team mates to perform well at work.

And last but not the least... when you start your long weekend by typing posts well into the middle of the night :Shockked: just to improve your reputation in the forum.
