Re: Review: Dynavin N6-VW Headunit (for VW / Skoda cars)

I am contemplating on installing the Dynavin N6 VW for my Vento TSI. But as we all know, its very pricey so not sure if it's worth. My primary objective is to improve SQ and seeing the excellent feedback on sound quality in the forum it's tempting.

I would like to audition the unit to satisfy myself. Is there any BHPian from Chennai who has this installed? If so, please PM your mobile number.

Also I would appreciate if someone can provide feedback on the status of several bugs? Are they resolved with latest firmware update?

Thanks,

Senthil.

Re: Review: Dynavin N6-VW Headunit (for VW / Skoda cars)

I tried updating a N7 firmware on my N6 VW Dynawin in 2018 Jan. It is now bricked. All the lights come on but the system is not coming up. Is there any way to recover.

Re: Review: Dynavin N6-VW Headunit (for VW / Skoda cars)

I got the dreaded "white screen" on the Dynavin N6, in my 2014 Jetta (after 3 years of usage). The 54 pin ribbon cable was suspect. I got a 54 pin cable from SP road Bangalore ( they apparently cropped a 60 pin FFC cable down to 54 pin). I plugged it in , the white screen became green (with feeble display), and no touch response. I even tried switching ends of the new 54 pin FFC cable from SP road, but to no avail.

I eventually flipped the ends of the original 54 pin faulty FFC cable between the connectors,lo and behold, the screen came back to life.

In the interim few hours I had got my RCD 300+ back on, and i found the Dyanvin's sound quality was way better.

For the nonce the Dynavin is working, I will push it till my luck runs.

Hi, how did you recover from the bricked state?

I put back the old firmware on the SD card, pressed reset, volume buttons and one of those combinations reinstalled the old firmware.

Thanks.
I am facing issue with Bluetooth connection. Most of the time, there is a beep beep noise when playing music through Bluetooth and i have to either change to radio or reboot. Any solution to resolve this?
