Re: Review: Dynavin N6-VW Headunit (for VW / Skoda cars)

Naviextras shows no new updates for the maps and taking into account that the maps are a couple of years old, its not good enough.

On the USB cable, I have it in the glove box, through the hole that is usually reserved for the ESP/TPMS button. I was thinking of buying the USB cable with the flap from aliexpress, along with a male to round pin USB cable, so that it looks as stock as possible.

Has anyone thought of doing something like this?

Here are the parts:

I don't remember exactly but I think it took 2 to 3 weeks or so. Don't expect fast delivery when it is by normal post. Its always late.

Updated to DynOs1.1.1

Saw a new camera icon, not sure if the internet option was already there. Maps load a little faster and the time stays synced. Still there is no option to choose GMT+530 though.

I got the delivery in about 10 days from the date of order and I was pleasantly surprised.

Now about the Face Plate - I had to replace the AC Panel from my current one as the one that was shipped was only available with the Climatronic Controls (the 2013 TSIs came with Manual controls).

The following picture shows how it looks now (fits in perfectly):

Re: Review: Dynavin N6-VW Headunit (for VW / Skoda cars)

A new update is available for India maps on the naviextras page. I have downloaded it but not used it in detail, but the whole GPS system seems to work a lot smoother now.

Has anyone tried the internet thing with a 3 G dongle? I wish we could use apps like Saavn or some music streaming app for which this may be useful.

The gain setting for the mic really helped get the mic to sound a lot clearer to the person on the other end of the line. If people are complaining that they cant hear you, please do use this setting.

Re: Review: Dynavin N6-VW Headunit (for VW / Skoda cars)

I picked a Dynavin on 19th June from Vagtunes Bangalore for my 2014 Jetta. The HU is good, the bluetooth works well (I previously had a Xplod amp and JL Sub in a previous car, so the bar is high).

The overall buying experience was amazing. The guys there went out of their way to help sort out minor issues that I had. Amit was on call and SMS with me through 11 pm in the night to close an issue.

I liked the professionalism and the customer relations of these guys and would recommend Vagtunes Bangalore if you are looking to pick up the Dynavin N6 .

Re: Review: Dynavin N6-VW Headunit (for VW / Skoda cars)

I had a RCD 300+ which was replaced, but I dont get the MID update about caller and phone details. Also my parking sensor distance details dont show up. Is this as per design for RCD 300+ based systems. Is this the lowline MID ?

PS: I discovered this discrepancy lately so the consecutive posts.

Hi, I have updated Dynavin to v1.1.1 in my jetta. After this, my equalizer settings are not getting saved and I have to set it again everytime I start the car. Is anybody else facing this issue?

Re: Review: Dynavin N6-VW Headunit (for VW / Skoda cars)

I installed Dynavin N6 few days back from Vagtune, Cochin. It was one of the much awaited upgrade. I also added an additional vagtech genuine camera and OPS module.

Great upgrade!. Regarding the OPS module, where did you install it and how? isnt the BCM that needs an upgrade?

Thanks

My stock one was PDC without OPS. So I swapped with a PDC with OPS. Post mid 2013 cars comes with PDC without OPS.
