Finally got my 6.5" RCD 330 plus. Screen is huge and touch is better than my previous 5" RCD 330 G. UI looks rich almost identical to bigger brother Jetta's MIB.

I got a sweet deal from seller and luckily it's cheaper than RCD 330 G.

I got it for $100 with free shipping by aramex (express shipping). I got my package within 5 days.

Definitely go for it. Nice product and feels great to use.

Create a Folder named MP3 and move all your songs folder into that folder. Should do the trick.

Yes you can install it in 2013 model. I've already PM'd you the link so check it. If your car comes with OPS module than you will love it. Graphics are top notch.

I have 2013 Vento Highline which has RCD 320. How to figure out if my car has OPS Module?

I get only beep sound when I engage reverse gear.

If my car doesn't have OPS module, then is it just a plug n play to install the OPS module ?

Don't get into OPS module if you don't have. You can install camera instead. And yes you will need ISO to Quadlock connector. Because both player have different connectors. Ask seller for it.

Re: Review: RCD 330G. VW's 2016 Head-Unit for the Polo, Vento & Ameo

I got rear camera installed on my 2016 Polo GT TSI. It works flawlessly with RCD 330G unit which came as part of the car. I got it installed from Vagtune Bengaluru branch today. Took 45 mins to complete the setup. Sugesh and Ashraf of Vagtune was there in Bengaluru branch today.

Totally satisfied with the installation. I was happy with RCD 330G unit. I didnt want to change the head unit for the camera. They were able to install the camera with Park pilot on RCD 330G head unit.

Hi dsinz,

Could you please share more details about the part numbers and cost involved in this. Did you get 8K ops or just enabled rear OPS with OEM sensors?

Regards.

Hi maddyguage,

I wanted to change for the same reason (larger screen size) but have put this plan on hold since I did not get buyer for existing unit (RCD 330G).

Do you see noticeable difference in screen resolution and could you please post some pictures of camera view on this unit.

Regards.

Hey antardaksh... This the one I got installed. Camera + Ops 4K + Canbus

I don't know the exact part numbers. I could see the Ops 4K had Made in Germany tag.

Hi dsinz, thanks for the URL on Vagtune. How much did you spend overall for the camera and its installation? Who did the installation for you and does it not void any kind of warranty?

Hey antardaksh,

That's 4K OPS module made by Valeo I suppose. Can get it here for around INR 2500. Part number is 6R0 919 475. It works with rear OEM sensors.

OEM 4K OPS - http://www.aliexpress.com/item/32231...231899529.html

Does it show dynamic grid lines or static ?
For the Vento, where is the camera installed ? Is it along with the boot lid soft touch button?

Will installing the 8K module work with 4 rear sensors only ? I plan to install the front sensors later on. Also, is the canbus harness different for 4k and 8k modules ?

Thanks.

Hi Mitz,

Camera supported by RCD330G will display static grid lines. I have installed RGB camera in the soft touch button. Its in the same place as Ameo rear view camera.

You will need 8 sensors and 8K ops module to display all sensors. All you need to do it connect sensors to control module and then connect control module to CANBUS powertrain.

Enabling OPS for 4 rear sensors is simple, all you need to do is to replace existing control module with 4K ops module and connect this to CANBUS and enable this from VCDS.

Installing 8K is complicated since it involves drilling hole in front bumper, routing additional wires from engine compartment to the control module in boot and installation of PDC switch.

Both 4k and 8k modules are available on Aliexpress.

You will find details about OPS in following thread

Has anyone been able to modify/upgrade ops module on Polo/Vento so far? I've not been able to locate existing unit in my Vento. Also missing some detailed DIY instructions.
