Re: The Android Head-Unit buying guide

Any info or feedback on Mekede headunits ? They seem to be a mass manufacturer of generic android headunits but are now using some Dudu OS and ecosystem which makes them good apparently.

HUs do have a feature to show what they call as "canbus" features.
E.g. Door open/AC temp etc.
I am not sure if AC temp will be displayed for manual AC.

Hey Lucksin. Im using AURA audio installation kit for power wiring. Even cheaper brands are now coming with Optical output to cover up their audio quality issue.
Try Defenition Audio. Comes with 360 also. Had a good time with it. Only stereo I heard that had comparable output to mainstream brands. Similarly STEG showcased their android stereo in EMMA. That will be a no brainer.

Cheers

I went the old school way. Got Alpine W660. My use case anyways was 100% apple CarPlay and good sound reproduction,

Auditioned alpine, got a good deal and closed it.

Re: The Android Head-Unit buying guide

Any reviews on Trak and Tell IntelliPlay Xtreme?

Link: https://intelliplay.in/products/inte...43771006091442

I am looking to buy a head unit for my Cruze and this feature list is too good to be true. I don't want to get mugged so wanted to check if anyone has any experience in our forum.

Oh My God!. This is what ive been saying. Audio brands are coming up with Android stereos and guess whos back!
However ask the installer regarding the audio quality 90% but he wont have a better option.

Good reputed brands only.
Thanks!
I got a pioneer 6650bt fixed, the fit is perfect. No problem with the HU till now, will share a long term review in around 6 months.

Re: The Android Head-Unit buying guide

I had purchased and installed a 9" Woodman extreme 360 degree system - Octacore 2Gb/32Gb with DSP in Nov 2022. It has died on me last week and wondering what my options are as replacement. The sound was great in the system while other features were sketchy. Any pointers to a system that can re-use the same 4 cameras, GPS antenna etc will be helpful.

I got the same, and regret my choice. Like you said, other than sound, everything else was buggy. Nothing worked simultaneously longer than a week. If bluetooth worked, music didn't. If music worked, android auto didn't. If AA worked, 360 didn't. Woodman is a scam. For the same price, I got Foxfire last week. I'm using the same 360 camera System from woodman, and it works smoothly. I'm quite happy with Foxfire so far. I don't know what to do with the OE Blaupunkt player, and the Woodman x360, but at least I'm relieved of the pain of having to deal with Woodman everyday.
