I just got 4050UB installed last Sunday for Rs 5200/- in Pune. The dealer quoted Rs 6000/- for the 5050UB and 7500/- for 6050UB.
I thought Delhi should have been a lot cheaper than Pune. Maybe you have to haggle hard.

I got a quote of 8200/- (grey) on the 6050 today. Anyone have an idea of how much it costs in a place like Karol bagh or Lajpat? I got the quote in Gurgaon.

The same quote was given to me here for 6050 in Vashi, Navi Mumbai! However the 5050 is quoted 6800!

5050 is available w/o B&W.

I dont find 5050 in the official website but found 5090. Any idea about 5090. Its priced at Rs 8200??

Which one of these are worth to go for (5050, 5090 or 6050)?

IIRC Pio 5090 and Pio 5050 dont have much diff. If you dont want graphic display go for the 5050.

Is that all the difference between these 3 models??

If 5050 is available in Grey, should I go for it?

Try downloading the brochure from pioneer website for more details . Pio 5050 is also a good model. But try negotiating in the price!!

Pio 5050 is not available on its Indian website. Not sure if its phased out? The only specs i found is:

MP3/WMA/AAC playback
  • iPod® direct connection via USB
  • USB direct connection (USB 2.0 full speed)
  • Advanced Sound Retriever
  • EEQ - 3 band parametric equalizer
  • Rotary Commander
  • Direct Sub Drive
  • 3 RCA pre-outs (front + rear + subwoofer)
  • Bluetooth® adaptor ready
  • Rear Auxiliary input
  • iPod® cable included
While for Pio 5090 is:

o Segmented OEL (Organic EL) display
o MP3/WMA/AAC playback
o Direct AUX-in by mini jack (rear)
o USB direct connection: USB 2.0 (full speed)
o iPod direct connection (Optional: use with CD-IU50)
o Bluetooth adapter ready
o IP-Bus
o Advanced Sound Retriever
o EEQ
+ 3-band parametric equalizer
+ HPF/LPF
+ Bass Boost
o Rotary Commander
o Direct Sub Drive
o 3 RCA pre-outs (front + rear + subwoofer)

Any help with this?

Hmm . Im not to sure if Pio 5050 has been stopped. Cos when i got my 6050 in April for Rs9 k+ that time 5090 wasnt available. If the price difference between 5090 and 6050 is not much i would advice you to go for the 6050.

Pio 5090 vs 5050

Pio 5090 is the official series whereas 5050 is outdated model (as of India is concerned). 5090 is the next version of 5050.

5090 is sold with B&W (2 yr waranaty and 1 yr theft insurance)
MRP is 9990/= and in bangalore if you haggle a bit, you might get a discount of 12% on the MRP. Resellers claim this is Singapore make

5050 is also sold as gray. There is no warranty or bill. The resellers here claim it as Thailand make. Price range is 6500 to 7000.

I was able to find out from another thread in the forum that somewhere in Greater Noida, you get the official model 5090 for 7000 with B&W. Let me know if you need the details.
