Hopefully yes. Most probably on Saturday but will let you know. Lol your setup would be better remember I have a Sony amp
The headunit plans might be derailed for some time now. Because there might not be car to put the head unit in for a good 3 months.

P.S. - Franky is not buying a HU anymore. I scolded him a lot yesterday. He needs to understand the value of money and curtail all 'unnecessary' expenses in a recessionary scenario. Now Frank is miffed at me and doesnt take my calls also. My teeth have lost the opportunity of being treated by this legendary dentist-in-making.
Nissant:-) worry not. I shall never say no for treatment. Only, team bhp members must pay me in head units and amplifiers:-) you've saved my bum though. Imagine getting a new hu and then realizing its going to rust in your cupboard for months. Thanks.

4 GB pen drive will easily work with your HU.

Hey congrats on your purchase. 16GB works fine with the head unit. I have read few reviews online where 16gb worked all good. Also, had checked with the Crutchfield.com help line people and they said it shouldn't be a problem.

Sub to match the Clarion

Apologies if this is a little OT - What subwoofer should I go in for (as and when I get my Clarion)? I am looking at JBL CS1205 in a sealed box. Any recommendations in 10" or 12" subs? Can I get away with a 10" sub (so save some boot space)?

JFYI - I have JBL GTO607C components in front and stock Nippons as rear fills for now. I am using a Blau GT4 MKII amp.

Missed your install. I have logged on to TBHP after a week or so. Anyways, how was the tuning session, esp the TA settings?

The tuning hardly took any time as most of the settings are at default levels except for HPF/LPF (both at 80) & TA. TA was done by Ajay using a measuring tape, I wanted the TA to be adjusted a bit more which he did again. I have written these figures in case they get reset accidentally

A basic question on this- I believe LPF used in subwoofer amp (any LPF for that matter) adds it's own "electrical" delay, above the delay caused by physical distance between sub and listener. How is it taken care of, if at all?

No idea man, I am not sure whether the HPF & LPF on amp was touched or not, will need to check. All I can say is that I can hear the bass very much in front

i am thninking Clarion-DXZ785USB or Clarion-DXZ585USB.
The only difference is TA. price difference of Rs 2.2k between the 2.
Is TA worth the price?

Obviously TA for 2.2k is worth it.
Take the plunge.

guys, i will be ordering it through sonicelectronix. they give free installation kit.
The kit contains a Dash kit, wire harness and a antenna adapter
But my vehicle is not listed in their list(which has US cars only). Is there any other US car which i can mention for which the kit would work for Santro xing XO ?

The wiring harness is car specific. So your installer would have a harness for your Santro. If your car already has an HU, you do not need the new dashkit I suppose (and again it would be vehicle specific and so should be available with your dealer in case you need it). I am not sure about the antenna adapter, but my guess is that your existing HU's antenna connector would be compatible with the Clarion.
