It is an impulse buy, the day I asked you about details in the other thread, I asked my brother to buy it from Amazon which he did in 2-3 days.

Though I did read many reviews & talked to a few guys before going ahead.

When is your HU arriving?
Well, I believe there are a few TBHPians who have this HU installed. I auditioned it a few days back.

Mine should be arriving anyday now. The wait is terrible man, I tell you. It is criminal to drive for over 2 weeks without a source unit in the car.

Ask one of the Vombay chaps to bring it with them for the Mumbai- pune meet on Saturday.
Or I'll bring it back next weekend!
Yes, I can collect it for you and bring it while coming for the meet. Or I can hand it over to Swale. Whatsay?

Audition was good. I found the HU very balanced and natural. It was quite a change from Pioneer. Of course, the setup in the car was completely different from mine, so I could not do a proper comparison. But I guess TA does make a hell of a difference to the sound stage.

Yes, at present I dont have an HU at all

Thats's great! In US people prefer to buy the 2009 model than discontinued model.
Amazon also has cheaper international shipping rate compared to others. May be someone can try and get quote for it.

They will not ship this item to India. Only bet is ordering online through ebay. But thats a question mark too. Since many are charged duty on the item when it reaches India. Its better to avoid this tension and ask someone to bring it down.

Yup. Agree with frankmehta. I'm pushing hard to find someone who is coming over from the US!

The other option is to order from Sonicelectronix. However, I calculated and it would cost at least $210 in total (excluding customs).

There is this guy in a tech Indian forum who imports anything you want from Amazon, newegg, etc. I send him the Amazon link for the Clarion 785 which is some 140 USD and he has sent me a quote of Rs 10500 landed in India plus shipping charges from Mumbai to wherever in India it needs to go. So that's an option for those who want headunits and have no one traveling from abroad

That's not a bad option at all. It's good, since you pay around 130-140$ plus shipping would be around anywhere about 40$.
how many days would he take if one conferms the order?
