1000$ to 5000$ Thats the way to go on Team BHP. As you get suggestions and get involved budget is long forgotten. Mods please change the title soon.

Congrats on the buy buddy, waiting for the complete installation pics. It would be grateful if you could post WIP pics.

Cheers

Good to see the title corrected and moved to right forum!

Just the right place to be - "Show Off"!

That is some serious amount of money and time that you are investing, IBM_J! Good on you to know what you want and walk the whole mile for it!

And I am not even guessing what the end result would be. It would anyway be totally of the scale!

Theoretically a Car PC should beat any high end head unit as we are using the same room correction algorithm used in Alpine 650 and time alignment algorithm used in Alpine 710. But it wont be easy like playing with knobs.

I just learned the following things in recent days:

The Mic supplied with ARC and RTA is not perfect. I have to invest in a professional studio quality condenser Mic.

None of the VST based EQ is perfect. They are actually affecting the phase and none of them come closer to my RTAS EQ from McDsp. So there is no EQ in car now.

The process should be:

Audio input -> Cross Over -> Room Correction -> Time Alignment -> IRC Loudness Maximizer -> Phase Correction -> RTA

So No EQ, No Reverb, No Dynamics, No Mastering.

Jeniffer, Did you spend 80,000 rupees on audio software and 70,000 rupees on RTA software?
Where did you purchase them?

No friend, its the total cost I have spend for the software. Including Centrafuse, Satguide India Map, CoreAVC, Mainconcept, Elecard, Webcam Soft, Allocator, Voxengo, Comfort, BS Player, Audiomulch & other VST Plugins).

I didnt counted Win XP, Nero, Cinematize, DIVX & some RTAS Plugins here as I already have multiuser license for them.

With such expensive software, don't you think that the audio hardware is seriously lagging behind ? Time for stegs, i suppose, Jenny ?

I hope No, The main reason for the Acoustic Software is - None of the speakers available in the Market can reproduce the sound perfectly.

ARC & RTA will compare the frequency response of this Speakers with the reference signal and correct the room acoustic based on the ability of the sound reproduction in the current environment. But If I have a very High End configuration in my Car, there is no need of this software, isn't it? My Aim is to emulate the high end configuration using this setup with the help of Acoustic Correction, Noise Reduction, Time Alignment, Speaker based Frequency Routing, Speaker based EQ, Phase correction and Run time mastering. But I am sure I can achieve some SQ, but not the SPL of the high end configuration.

Will it compete with a High End System: Currently yes in SQ, If I am allowed to play a Lossless audio Song. (I believe So, but I am sure its way better than my $1000 Yamaha HS 2.1 studio monitors on a $800 Mackie VLZ3 Mixer)

But I am still searching for a 2*4Ohm DVC Sub. But couldn't source a good one under my budget as my pockets are almost empty now(!).

why not one bigger 2ohm dvc. Check the ground zero radioactive or hydrogen series. Some serious subs on offer.

@ibm_jennifer: Im also using 5.1 setup in my scorputer but the volume control in centrafuse is not working properly, i.e, when i reduce the volume in centrafuse, only the front channels reduce, rear speakers volume remain unchanged. Is there some configuration in centrafuse for colume control for 5.1?
