I want something that plays jazz better but gives decent quality when playing pop or rock or filmi music. I also listen to podcast. Then I put my Equalizer preset to Vocal and that sounds good.
Any suggestions for JBL Compo models?

Still i am looking for a cheaper solution to connect my pocketpc to HU.
On Saturday, I installed GTO 607C components in my car. They replaced the 5" Pioneer coaxials. I got nice pricing due to the influence of Sam. Thanks Sam.

As said, the comps are powered by the Sony 222 2-channel AMP for the timebeing. Have to wait until i add another AMP in few months. I wanted to put the tweeters in the rear view mirror assemblies on either side. But the installer mentioned that the tweeters are big for that. On my insistance he opened the mirror and checked that. Right now, the tweeters are at the corners on the dashboard. Though Sam suggested 507 as they don't require any alteration to the car, i was tempted for 607. The map pockets on the doors were scaled from inside nears the speakers and a spacer was placed on each door to accomodate the bigger speakers.

The sound in the front is much better. Can feel the smooth flowing sound. But can feel the loss of lows because the rear ovals are now playing directly from the HU. Have to bear this until i put AMP.

The JBL GTO 301.1 (rated 204W @ 4ohm) is available for around 13k whereas the JBL CS 300.1 rated (200W @ 4ohm) is available for around 10k i guess.

Both good mono amps but i would pick the JBL GTO 301.1 even though it costs around 3k more than the CS amp.

Sameerji, how do these two amps compare????
It's not often that someone can point something out to my man JK. Thank you prince, I enjoyed that
The GTO amplifier is superior yes, to the CS (As is the nature of all GTO products to CS). However, honestly, the CS monoblock is excellent excellent value for money.
Unfortunately i cannot comment beyond this, as the rules do not permit me to.
That said, it's not often someone addresses me as Sameerji Thank god for that.

SAM I already have a Sony 222, is it fine to use this amp to drive the Infinity 9361i ovals? I will upgrade to a better 4 channel amp later along with JBL compos once I have the dough. And for now going in for the CS mono block and a sub.

inputs please.

Free Air Subs for spare wheel well?

Could I get some advice about which brand/model of free air subs I should be looking for please. I'm not sure about which size would be the best fit, but I imagine a 12" sub should fit in a Palio's 14" upside-down spare wheel rim.

This will go into my Palio and most likely be driven off a JBL 75.4 or a CS 60.4, which will also power the front components.

Front speakers are likely to be GTO 607s and for the rear, I'll shoehorn in the largest speakers (JBL?) a Palio can take within the stock pods.

Thanks!

Is there any ideal position for fixing the tweeters in my Palio. Right now they are sticked to the farmost corners on the dashboard facing skywards. I see lots of accessories in the box but instructions in the manual are not clear to me.

Yes. For now a Sony 222 is enough to drive the ovals. It will sound nice.

When you have the dough, upgrade your amplifier, will sound even better

That would still be 5.25" in the rear, unless you make a pod.
