Are The Buses shown above are Ordinary Service's?ofcourse ,"Malabar" written KSRTC Bus is a Ordinary(LS ,FSLS etc).
Kerala Super fast Buses are shown somewhere in this thread.

Looks like they have launched AL's and TATA's together.

AL has some distinctive advantage over TATA in handling and brakes. AL has a perfect weight distribution as its engine and rear housing weighs the same leading to no oversteering unlike the TATAs. Also the brakes seen in AL are more trustworthy on hily regiosn as it is power brakes compared to the airbrakes on TATA. That irritating shreaking sound from TATA everytime it brakes is due to this. And also TATA Cvs used to have major issues with its housing. But now they seem to have rectified it, probably by copying from AL. AL used to have criclur housing while TATA had hexagon, but now even TATA has circular. Way to go TATA.

The concept is good, but the fare is exhorbitant!

The normal seats in the rear charge 1.5 times the normal fare, while the luxury seats charge twice the normal fare.

The "forward" section has 6 seats, in three rows.

The first bus to sport this scheme was in a red livery. Here are my pics of that bus:

This is a good concept, should find its way into other cities too.. The LPO 1610 chasis and the AL Viking Chasis used by BEST MUTP Buses are the best bus chasis available at the moment.

Guys, a doubt i have had for a long time : Why dont the local run KSRTC and private buses in Kerala have windows made of glass? I find it highly irrtating when those tarpaulin sheets are drawn down during rains, and hence one can never even get to know when their stop has arrived.

Even I found it very irritating. However after a month I guessed the reason. There are on an average 40-50 hartaals in month in Kerala, during which throwing stones at buses is a favorite passtime. With less glass, less damage cost

I thought the same as well, and also attributed the potholed roads which may lead to breakage owing to continously being tossed around.
But in that case, they could do away with the rear windshield also, rite?

I hate Glass sections in Public buses as is the likes with tamilnadu(now they are lesser in town buses!) and karnataka. In this hot climate here ,how can a glass system helps?no way.thumps down.
there is what you call comfort more than aesthetic beauty/sense.if you provide local buses with Air Conditioning ,then agreed glass windows are OK.but not otherwise.12 months a year are not monsoon anyways! It is humid Hot climate otherwise.

Some buses fron the munnar area in Kerala. Youw ould notice that all are AL buses. Not a single TATA is operated here other than by the KSRTC which operates it irregularly.

PMS one of the names of the bus is a big bus operator here, those bodies are built by 'Kondothy', they cost 4.5 lacs, are probably one of the best body designs with lighter bodies and high ground clearance.

I think your Omni replacement will be able to carry an Omni inside it.

Its not a replacement. Its an entirely different segment.

I guess, FX45 meant to say was a replacemnet for Ambulances in India. Because Omni seems to be the market leader in Ambulances.
