I had been to the Abudhabi intl motorshow 2008 yesterday. Only chinese buses were on display. No indian manufacturers were present. i have attached few pictures of the kinglong

In recent days, i have noticed there has been an huge increase in the number of trucks from TATA-Daewoo NOVUS trucks. They have flooded the market and can find these trucks in between the Volvo, Scania, Man & Merc trucks. It always gives a smile on my face whenever you see indian truck between the giants.

Even if they do, I doubt they will sell. Maybe they will, but not in significant numbers.
Buses are a different business, operators can take some premium for these high-on-luxury factory made buses. But not so with trucks, I mean on what grounds will they charge a premium? That the load was carried in an A/C cabined, GPS tracked vehicle. A GPS can be retro-fitted easily on existing trucks.

If I remember correctly, Eicher was the first to launch such tech-savvy, gizmo ladden trucks. How many do you see on roads today?

Unless, the market is willing, why will a manufacturer launch a product that is bound to sink??

wow binaiks, the tail lamps look lovely. most importantly, now it wont be too easy for cheap volvo-pretenders to gimmick these tail lights on tatas.
but the rear looks odd without the rear glass.
